Nice looking car. The wait for the pictures was worth it.

Thanks waynieZ! I'm still working on getting photos into photo bucket but for the most part this is kinda where I started a few years back. I'll get more in and start showing the work I've been doing. It's definitiely not one of these high end bad ass builds but it will be a cool garage build budget pro touring car.

No problem. Glad I pointed it out, that's a good looking car you have.

So is started the ol T56 swap. I wanted to try and keep the floor as original looking as I could on the top and bottom so I opted to section and raise the existing tunnel. Here's kinda how I did it

I created roughly 2" strips using the cuts as a template then tacked them in place. I rolled the floor slightly in some spots and tacked it all together essentially raising the trans 2"

Then I had to relief cut the firewall and bring it up to the height of the tunnel. The end of the tunnel needed some work molding the old pieces and new pieces together

I cleaned it all up and put a coat of primer before I welded up all the old holes in the floors. I welded in bucket seat brackets and prepped the floors for Por15. The florrs were all in all pretty clean. There was surface rust in all the standard spots but nothing went threw and they were all in all pretty solid
