Could you provide some detail on the electric-assist install going on here ... looks like a Uni-Steer under the dash and possibly a Ididit column? Ideas on mounting the unit to a roll bar? That's a lot of torque going on there ....

Been drooling over all the pics on Photo Bucket ... :thankyou:

The steering unit is built into the column. With all the stuff under the dash it is really tight. You could use a standard column mount and just put it inline.

My desert race car has EPS and the way its mounted is pretty flimsy on the steering column side so I'm not sure its an issue as it is an assist.

We are so busy here at the shop I sent the car to a great fabricator in Northern California that is doing some Sheetmetal work for us to help us keep up. I'm not sure he wants to be public, but if you have been around long enough you will figure it out. He did the mini tubs and aligned all the sheetmetal along with the front and rear suspension install. This really sped up the process for us so we could stay focused on the work we had in the shop and satisfy and already happy customer.

I follow your sheetmetal guy on instagram. He is definitely a top notch fabricator. I drool over all the metal finishing, good thing my phone won't cause rust.

Then we mocked up some Aero Latches. Warning the carbon ones they sell are just painted plastic to look carbon even though they are 20 bucks more.

I like this. I'll be putting some aero-latches on mine as well as I KNOW my coolers dont leave room for a latch. Sacrificed the stock latch for IC size. Worth it. I like how those look on the corners. That all you're going to run or considering any further in?

Cool stuff guys.

We discovered the extra reservoir on a 2014 Z28 we worked on as well. LS7 Z06's didn't have that. Turns out it's just for additional capacity.

What are you doing about power steering? I hear Wegner is working on something, but no ETA yet.

Fantastic! I really like the fuel fill location, but what about venting? Does that cap not vent?
