Looks great, SW. That's some serious power.

Why start with a 454SS truck though? Is there more to these trucks than the 454 engine?

How did you lower it? Good looking truck.

Any thing done to the suspension and brakes to make em more "slot car esque"?

Love those trucks!!

I just have a thing for them. They also have a heavy duty 14 bolt rear end, 480LE trans, 6k Rpm factory tach, 110mph speedo and the '91-'93s are super rare.

We just didn't have time with Aunts and Uncles and Cousins and out of town grade school friends -- in other words - herding cats! In other words - there just was no more time in that weekend. OMG!

Truck must be a friggin' beast! And wow! What fantastic looking work they did! First rate craftsmanship there!

Damn! I'm sure we will see you guys soon!

When I do the 4 Link, I will do mini tub, big sways and big brakes but it's still a truck..

I had white '92 454SS. Great truck! I bet you at least doubled the fuel economy with that swap! My stock truck got about 10-12 mpg.

WSSix 02-18-2016 05:47 AM

Thanks SW. I figured there was a little more to them than just having the 454 under the hood. I've always thought the trucks looked great, but I know very little about them.

Great project SW. I like how you go back and re-imagine your old favorites.
