I tried to have a budget and when I got going on it, the price doubled. The motor was $7500 and with all of the extras...bellhousing, flywheel, clutch, master, slave, hoses, mounts, controller, harness, oil pan, headers, etc.etc.etc...it all adds up. If you have access to a excel, I can send you a copy of my spreadsheet I used. Granted...I added vintage air to mine, but all of the other stuff really adds up. Some things I tried to do on the cheap and I got burned.

Definitely use Excel to map out everything, and then be prepared for scope creep. I had a budget of 35-50K for my complete DSE conversion, and well.....ran into some unforeseen sheet metal needs (trunk pan and outer inner fender repairs). You get this mentality...welll....while its there I should do this to....$$$$ |
