I am considering having my RV ceramic coated. We have a neighbor that has started doing this and has built it into a nice little business already. He mentioned that typical wax coatings will burn off at around 140 degrees and being in Arizona, that means any typical summer day in the sun. His coating is guaranteed for 5 years I believe.
The huge benefit for RVs is the easy to clean aspect. I have a huge fiberglass cap up over the windshield that not only catches all the bugs but I also can just barely reach it standing on a 6' ladder. He claims bugs will basically rinse off once ceramic is applied. It's about $80 a foot compared to $10 a foot to have it just waxed, so it's pricey...but I'm thinking seriously about doing it. |

I've done CQuartz UK on a few of my rides and it's the best thing since sliced bread IMO. My detailer does the application, but I help with the correction which is a metric ton of work in itself. Pull the wheels, do the calipers and barrels, the glass has it's own application. It needs to be rejuvenated once a year and I think it's worth every dime of the 1,200.00. Just finished this the other day and is curing in the shop for 4 days. He says the longer you let it cure before it sees any weather, the better it will last.
