Good luck. They have had LT4 pullouts for sale too

To be honest I would look for a Copart salvage car that way you have all the parts you need to complete the conversion. When your done you just call the salvage and they will haul off the hulk.

I went salvaged folks / found a 2013 LSA with the TR6060 trans and all the parts - who do you guys recommend for the wiring harness? Speartech seems very expensive... PSI?

I personally bought a PSI after doing much research. The price is unbeatable and it’s great quality. Also I spoke to a few vendors and they use PSI in their personal projects. Carl from Vaporworx recommends them as well as RestoMod Air.

That’s who I will go with and thank you ! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
I went with Speartech because they had the option to make the 6L90 in my swap work with the Lokar electronic shifter and had an output for a gear indicator while in manual mode...
I've also used Hotwire in my Gen3 Hemi swap, worked flawless and was very high quality. Gen3 Hemis are a completely different animal when it comes to harnesses...(ABS modules, reluctor wheels, BodyControl Modules...) Jeff- |

I have gone used and utilized carpartscom too. Engines can generally be negotiated to come with whatever you need especially with the smaller family owned yards too.

I only like to buy the salvage engine if I can see in some form or fashion the car it came out of.
Some ways I think you get get a better product new if your going to change everything. Headers, Front engine drive system, Intake, Etc. The Tr6060 trans is great just all the extra stuff to hood up is a pain in the ass. A T56 Magnum works awesome. Some cars the stock configuration just wont fit. Modern AC compressors dont work with aftermarket AC. All those things like that But if your keeping all the parts and using all the parts that were stock it can be a good deal. But when your paying some one to put the car together, I think new is wise for the warranty. Would suck to supply an installer an engine for him only to discover its not what you hoped. I have had that happen a few times. I want to know the history of all the parts we install in builds so I have some one to look in the eye or call. |
