That's a pretty blue color. Good job getting her back together. I can't imagine having to build an american car outside of the country. Best of luck to you.

Subframe restore and Front end
10 Attachment(s)
I just wanted to update a little what I could do with my project far away.
I comment the following: Subframe was removed, sanded and then powercoated Same work for A arms, brake calipers, radiator support, brake pump and booster, and other parts in front. Rebuild front suspension: - KYB gas shock absorbers - Moog spirals, same as stock. - Elgin Pro terminals and bushings - Take out stock front swaybar and install a new 1 1/4" from BMR. - Change stock spindles for 2" drop spindles. - New disc and brake pads as OEM. - Changed proportioning valve and install new brake pipes, thinking about installing rear disc brakes later (hope soon). - The stearing box was cleaned, adjusted and painted. I share some images (sorry about sizes) of the job at home with some friends. Greetings and hope you like it... |

Good job keeping this old girl on the road. I really like the blue color. My little sister had one like yours when she was in high school( 42 years ago). After a little fender bender when I had to fix the subframe I put in a 350 and 4.10 rear axle I had without telling her. Boy was she surprised how well it ran, kind of like Ben Meissner's Nova. Thanks for sharing all your work and plans!
