It's great to see you guys posting up a new project--this place has been a bit of a desert lately. Maier has been running a 315 square setup on his blue car ('66?) for years, so he could definitely give you some tips; he's also a hell of a nice guy . . .
If you're going the way I think you are with the engine (LS3?), Corvette is always the answer with suspension/subframes, as you get sound factory engineering, geometry, performance, easy LS engine placement, light weight (especially the unsprung kind), blah, blah, blah. I say this as someone who did it (with a 1992 C4 as a base) to my functioning/driving 1963 Falcon, not as a keyboard imagination factory. At any rate, I'll definitely look forward to seeing future posts here! |
Terry and I talked about going the corvette suspension route but we decided on something else. I’ll let Terry chime in and talk about the why.

It would definitely be cool to see what Vorshlag comes up with--the skills for something far more creative than slapping on Corvette parts are definitely there. Keep us updated!

Thank you, glad to be here. I may swing by Vorshlag tomorrow to see the car. They pulled the drivetrain yesterday and got to work on the shock towers. Terry and his crew are killing it.

So I see you went the way of the AJE k-frame. did you also use their control arms and suspension or still plan on something a little better?

You don’t seem too fond of the wilwood brakes, what would be a quality brake?
