All I can say is WOW!
Your 69 is KILLER!
Thanks for sharing..,
Can’t wait for my magazine!
Will you drive it?
What are your plans going forward?

Very nice! Congrats!

Thanks for all the kind remarks guys!! - appreciate it - most of you all know first hand the time and effort that goes into these cars - always feels good to get a little recognition for all the hard work!

572Camaro - plan on taking it around to some shows this summer and then by July/August my wife and I want to take it out west and back - hit Mt Rushmore, Sturgis, Yellowstone, Hot August Nights and then head to California and drive the PCH down to San Diego and come back via Route 66 - be a good way to break it in!!

Here is the story on Summit's website BTW

Congratulations and stunning car. I'm somewhat partial to 69's myself.

If I may, can I highjack the thread a little and ask where you hid the coils?

Congrats just got my copy in the mail. Beautiful ride.

Dash & gauges

I really like the dash in your camaro. What brand of gauges and mount panel did you use?

yammiman 04-17-2021 11:18 AM

Thanks again guys

GSR69 - I got some coil relocation brackets, modified them and then I epoxied them to the top of the valley cover under the intake - it was a tight fit and I was concerned about the coils interfering with one another, but there has been no issues - I've been asked that questions a lot!! LOL - even when you know where they are, they are pretty hard to see

Rtank - the gauges are Speedhut and they are mounted in a Detroit Speed dash insert - you can't see it in the pictures, but the surface of the dash where the gauges are mounted is sprayed with a textured paint that I also used in the trunk

Is a thread for this build?

waynieZ 05-13-2021 08:16 PM

Congratulations! Pretty car.

yammiman 05-15-2021 08:25 AM

rv1890 - I had started a thread back 5-6 years ago when I got the car and I think at one time Dutchboy's started one also - neither one was kept up to date unfortunately
