for the record, this is a historical account. I am currently (june2023) much further along, but I thought i could document here as this crowd might appreciate a project more than a corvette or mustang or VW/Audi forum might! |

so, i had friends to help me lift the body. it was doable with 1 extra pair of hands, but having 2 extras was great.
i was hoping to keep as much as possible, but really, i think, in the end, maximizing what is kept and what is cut is a fool's errand. just cut everything and fill parts back in... i did get the shell media blasted. I didnt want too many surprises with body work. I ended up epoxy priming (Eastwood) I also got my wheels in. 18X11" ET57 APEX EC-7 CORVETTE Tires: toyo proxee R888R 295 30 18 the stock springs are still in place. this is why the ride height is so great. ~7inches |

well, it has been a while. progress is SLOW.
because the mustang's wheelbase is about 3.5" longer, i had to shorten the WB on the Mustang body parts. i chose to remove it from btween the front axle and A pillar. I felt it would be least intrusive to the aesthetic if removed from there. |
Happy to see some updated pictures.
Keep them coming. |
