Some say we have ten months of winter and two months of slightly less cold. But in reality we have four months of real winter. Three months before and after that with more or less lousy weather and two months with good weather.

In the recent years the winter has started late but lasted in to April. It was many years since we had a white X-mas. This year it looked good until we got almost two feets of snow in mid-march. I guess it is one effect of the global warming phenomena.

Even though we don't get snow until late January it is dark, wet and cold. No weather to drive a good looking Camaro in, salt is no good for the Budnik's.

I think you have it worse were you are, but shorter more intense winter, at least with snow and cold winds.
