I say get Roush to ante up. :unibrow: 6 speed and Cobra wheels or a oversized variant of whats already on it.

Steve, the car looks great. Should be lots of fun...Yes, big block and five speed sound like fun...of course you will need some new brakes as well. Can't wait to see what you do with it. |

http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts...tKeyField=9287 Global West and TCP makes tubular CA's + coilovers for that car. Some parts are not listed on their sites. If you change your mind, you can always sell it to me ;) |
Sweet car, good luck with it and it was a great deal.

i like it.. ive always liked the big ford musclecars, but if you have gotten it for 8.1K and are willing to spend some on getting it to handle and drive why not think a little out fo the box? my vote is on a force-fed SBF perhaps an AOD-E tranny (they are good for 900 ponies when built well) and a twist machine shifter.. turboheaders for a small ford are abundantly available at racingjunk or turbo-shops. and du the suspension up so it can turn.. add a set of boze stinger 18 inchers and leave the body and paint alone..
thats my 2 cents http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Musta...39947744QQrdZ1 good luck and congrats btw |
Very cool car Steve. If you fly me up there I will drive it back for you for free. I dought you would go for it but might as well offer. I like the color. EFI, bigger wheels/brakes, tko600 or t56, I would have to say big block for that heavy of a car. Congrats.

Looks great! I say dump a modular motor in it, maybe a supercharger. A nice six-speed, some big brakes, and a set of 17 "Magnum" wheels from Wheel Vintiques. Put a black top on it, some nice buckets out of a Crown Vic or Mark VIII, and a stock console and you're in business!

Thanks guys.. They let me do Penny the way I wanted so I need to talk with the group on this car.
Most likely a larger displament old-school Ford mill. A 427 would be cool. Larger brakes but the wheels might not go bigger than 16's.. maybe 17's if they make them. Was thinking of black steelie but I havent looked much. Not going to be a big dollar build. I just want it clean, low with a NASCAR look to it. The vinyl top will go. If my shop can match the blue then it will go that or maybe some shade of blue. Will leave the vinyl chrome trim on to make the repaint eaiser. I'm thinking PROCAR front seats done in blue and a custom fabbed guage cluster since I'm sure nobody (like Covan's) makes a Torino/Fairlane one. It's going to be project Fastlane :) |
Steve call Les Stricker Stricker Automotive he is in laguna canyon youll have to call info for number He had a large amount of 427's and even a cammer I use to deal with him but I dont have his number any more, I'll call you later today about the shipping thing Thanks Jeff
