Dang....absolutely love the fastbacks!!!
looks as if some wanted a Smokey and the Bandit Mustang... the blue interior almost knocked me out of my chair:lol: But seriously, great find, I'm sure we all envy you on this one. Is that fact.(dealer installed) or aftermarket a/c? Good luck on the build:thumbsup: |
I'm running RRS kit
Quote:
The TCP stuff seems like quality stuff and I'm running thier lower control arms on my 67 Fairlane. For a street car the RRS works really well from my experience. I am running a stge II kit on my 69 Torino with thier rear disc brake kit out back. The price of an RRS stage II includes spindles and complete dual piston PBR disc brakes. If you add up the cost of a TCP coilover and some new spindles and front brakes then the RRS kit starts to become a better deal. Some people may argue that strut type suspensions can't compete with double wishbone but tell Porshe and BMW that (all those atricles about BMWs setting the standard in sedan handling are srtut fron ends) On my 69 Torino the RRS provides a compliant yet firm ride with a very planted feel. I'm running stock type lower control arms at this time with a Stam bar 1" front stabalizer bar , caltracks with Koni shocks and rebuilt leaf in the rear all on 17" rolling stock 245 45 17 front and 285 40 17 rear (which will fit your car with no serious mods)and the car handles well enough that exploring the limits on the street is just plain stupid. I should mention that I have a 390 FE powerplant sitting over my front wheel so the front end bite and lack of understeer should be even better with a smallblock car. I plan on adding a Watts link from FAYS in the rear along with a rollcage and subframe connectors then I'll be off to Willow Spings or Buttonwillow for some open track time to better quantify the performance. |
The gold makes me think of a retro drag racer. Coolio.
