Ahh, ok, for some reason I thought it was ice cream.

In and Out... plenty of stories from that place. :D

Was the dyno tuner eating and tuning at the same time? :_paranoid

No, I did the tuning. Scott's talking about when I blew up the stock motor. Don and I were heading out to get a burger, and of course you have to floor it getting on the freeway...... :unibrow: It broke a couple rods on the 2-3 shift; leaned out for a split second right as it shifted, and I didn't pedal it soon enough. It wasn't a tune issue, but it had maxed the injectors.

Sounds about right to me... :D Better to have to slow down and merge than speed up and merge I always say!

What was cool about Jody's engine ka-boom was that even with holes in the side of the block he drove it home!

That's about as cool as an engine failure can be anyways... :(

Man oh man did that make an oil mess under the truck. I still remember the mess all over the bottom of the truck and under your lift!

Kris Horton 11-21-2006 05:39 PM

I reckon he could have still beaten an import or two on the drive home to boot. :hail:

got this clean title 02 for 8k, this is the one dissassembled in the firebird pics, did a frame swap, added a 3/4 drop, bassani headers and exhaust, afco heat exchanger, pulleys, chip, and b coddington 20'' wheels...... should have it back on the road in a couple weeks.

Chris,

That's pretty slick, but what's up with the front bumper? Looks like it's off of a regular F-150...

As long as the supercharged 5.4's under the hood though, it's all good. :)

Kris,
Nice ride.

*Off topic question*
What performance upgrades did you do to the 94 camaro?

Kris Horton 11-22-2006 10:50 AM

The Z28 was pretty heavily modded. It ran a best of 13.30 at LACR, which is respectable for a 13 year old LT1 with 104K miles on it.

Mods were:
K&N Cold-Air kit
Edelbrock 50-state headers
Flowmaster muffler
QTP Electric cut-out
NGK spark plugs
MSD Ignition (opti-spark upgrade)
Hi-flow (read: gutted) cat
160 degree thermostat
Tuned PCM
Shift Kit
ZR1 Corvette wheels
LS1 Camaro (98-02) brakes
Eibach Springs

It also had a really nice stereo, but I don't count it as a mod really lol. It had 2 12" JL Subs in a custom carpeted enclosure, Pioneer door and rear speakers, Rockford Fosgate amp, and an Alpine head unit.

I picked up the car for $6K from a good friend of mine who took great care of it. I love that car, but it wasn't really all that practical, so I gave it to my dad to use as a daily driver (5 miles or so a day) since I knew he'd take good care of it.

Kris
