Oh, by the way, I have a minitubbed 67 and my rear wheel is 11 inches wide with stock width rear end and 6 7/8 inch backspace on the wheel.

You need to figure some clearance for the sidewall of the tire. Look at the section width of the tire you plan to use. Subtract your rim width from the section width. Half of that number will be how far the tire will stick out from the wheel. Keep in mind that there will be some sidewall flex on cornering.

WickedSS, you may also want to contact Marty (Syborg TT on this forum) to see if you can rent the tool below. This tool actually holds the tire you want to use. It gives you the offset of the wheel based on the position of the tire in your fenderwell. A while back he said he would rent it to me, but I am still a ways away from needing to figure out width and backspacing for my car.

They definitely don't understand what mini-tubs are. They obviously think that all you have is offset shackles and that the wheelhouses are stock. As many here have already noted, a 335 will fit with the DSE mini-tub kit, but the backspacing will be up to you to measure correctly.

Do you have any Idea how much I could rent that for? And how would I get ahold of him?

correct me if im wrong, all I need to do is measure from the mounting surface to the frame and from the mounting surface to the inside fender lip. Right?

Witch I came up with total 13 1/2. So if its 8 1/2 from the rotor to the frame and 5 inch to the fender, how much do I need to take away for side wall and tire flex? any idea?

Yes .5" TIRE clearance is fine but the minimum. What size tire are you going with?

Are you wanting a reversed lip design or standard lip wheel...Intro only offers up to 10" wide wheels in there reversed lip wheels, although for a ton more they will weld two hoops together to go wider. Were they possibly telling you the wheel only comes in a 10?

For what it's worth I have a 18x11.5 wheel and a 315/30/18 tire on my 68 w/ only a 2.5" mini-tub.

If you are stuck on Intro wheels give HvyDeez a call, they are easier to deal with, they are who I used for my Intros.

Don't do what I did the first time around and center the wheel in the well, this put the tire too far under the car and didn't look right! You need to decide if you want to roll the fender lips at this point. Then figure you want the wheel/tire .5-.75" from the outer fender lip and measure back to the axle, this is your offset measurement and will give you something to work off of.

What I prefer to do in your situation (already have the axle) is to use an old wheel for mock up. I use fender washers to shim the wheel out off the axle untill I like what I see then do the math.

I am not sure but I don't think Intro makes wheels wider than 10in. that could be why they are tellling you bigger won't fit. I just looked on there web site and the wheels that I clicked on only had mesurements up to 10in wide.
