http://www.lifeinwidescreen.com/siihp/fairlane2.jpg There's a few thinks I could have also done, like paint the front bumper, grill and wheel centers. But I only had 5 days.. Maybe later. The car looks totally different from the geriatric cruiser it was before. Also painted the rear tail light panels the same as the hood. |
What a difference! The wheels and tires are perfect for the car.

Great job what a difference.

Looks good Steve. What are you going to do with it now?
|
Steve,
Very nice. Excellent choice on the wheels and hood. Whats next? Scott |
I was told I have to build and engine/trans/rear now and run 11.70's in the quarter mile.
Then I can work on the suspension, brakes and such.. |
At first I was not a big fan of this car or project Camaro by PHR. Over time, through the mag, you get a feel what these cars are all about and what has been accomplished. I now look forward to checking out that project Camaro. Last months issue showing you guys detailing the engine. I got a big kick out of that. Darn car is very respectable. For some or even most young people this is what they can afford. Sometimes these low budget builds are the way to go!
This car should be an enjoyable build as well. Good work Steve! R.P. |
looks nice.

I have under $11k in the Fairlane (closer to 10).. that's not bad for what it is and certainly anyone could afford that sort of budget for a cruiser. |
Very kool!
