Better check the VIN number...oh and buy it before someone else does.:wow: |
I think the whole cloning business is lame, especially since this is a group dedicated to fairly heavily modified musclecars and all the resto geeks are always nitpicking the details, even on real ones.
Which leads me to my suggestion to buy all the suspension bits and brakes you can afford and lower it down over some cool wheels and don't worry about all the SS stuff. It will be worth similar money to the fake SS and have a lot more style. You can probably even sell it right here to one of us! |
For $1,500 you can't go wrong. If you buy it and later on you decide that you don't want to follow through with building it up, you will always be able to get your money out of it.
Be very careful, though, if it is being sold this cheap, there may be hidden problems...make sure you inspect it thoroughly for hidden major issues like a bent frame, gallons of bondo, etc. -Rob |

yea i was considering not cloning it.. just a nice black with gunmetal stripes and a 454 with a set of 20s, play with it a few months then sell..
the reason its so cheap is the guy really doesn't know about rarities and such. he was a dragster and has a full on drag car in the shop. i checked the body and its very solid.. my bondo check was good there was just minimal rust in the wheel housings. both front and back.. the hood just needs to be replaced. im going to get it next week.. its funny ive seen it there for about 2 years and now im going to get it. |
Buy it for $1500, and sell it to me for like $2500, you'll make $1000(ish)... ;) (seriously, i'd be interested).

Thats a great price. I picked up a very similar 70 Chevelle for a customer. It was rolling but had a very decent body, no rot, 12 bolt posi and new welds with slicks. I paid $2800 and thought "I" got a good deal. Needless to say, after taking delivery and designing up one heck of a car, the client came to me with a different style car to do instead. Now I am looking for a buyer to follow through with my original design.
Anyhow... thats a great deal. Buy it, do the nessesary cosmetics and mechanicals and flip it (unless it comes out too nice, in which case keep it) |
Buy it and sell it to me, I'll double your money:unibrow:
