and in the rear you have John Sonnenfeldt, from Detroit Eaton. He must be thinking of upgrading from his Chevelle to a more capacious platform. Are big cars the next big thing? Room for you and all of your buddies. Jeff (next to Theresa) has started something with his Buick.

I didn't see it on the build pictures, but did you guys see the dome light built into the rollbar - very cool. Its always the little stuff that makes his cars cool, IMO.

Rad Rides should add on a glass wall with mezzanine gallery (like the football stadiums do) where fans of their fab could just sit and watch them work. Charge something like 5 bucks an hour to view them working - the guys could stop in for interviews or discussions on what they're doing - closed circuit tv up close coverage, and beer....

There are a bunch more pics of this car on the Rad Rides website... are those DSE Camaro upper front control arms and coil-over kit?

We've got a big-car project coming together, and we've been studying ways to improve the reaction rod front suspensions of these bombs. I like how Rad Rides reinforced the open triangular area on the front of the frame.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Troy is probably the best overall builder out there. From Muscle Cars to Street Rods to Race cars he has dabbled in about every arena in this hobby - and in typical Troy fashion nails it everytime.

I may be wrong but that looks like a seriously hacked up first or second gen camaro subframe.

It's the stock frame. They held on to the straight lower arm with the reaction rods. I don't think DSE makes a full size tubular upper arm, though.

Brian told me they were DSE control arms, but we didn't go into detail on how they did the setup.

We featured this car on in our SEMA coverage, and our next epsiode airing in a week was all shot at Troy's learning some tricks they use to build killer cars. We spent a minute or two with the car, but mostly about door gaps and fitting body panels. I didn't think to ask about the front end... I'll have to call and get the scoop.
