Sweet. Another Mopar. I'm feeling like the lone ranger here. For reference, here's my '70 RR w/ 18x9 and 18x10 Boyd's wheels...

I love both of those Road Runners, especially the black one. It was a great stance and wheel combination. I like the stealthy feel of the gold one. Steve Strope's HAMMER was a big inspiration for mine.

I can't wait to get started on mine. I bought it last year for $500. The car is complete, with the engine, tranny, and full interior. Any parts that are not visible, were in the back seat, or in the trunk.

I would love to do an Art Morrison Max-G frame, with a turbocharged 6.1 Hemi, but finances will not allow. I am projecting a $20,000 budget in parts to get to the final product. This is going to be a labor of love, and a long term build, since it will be my first build of this magnitude. I also plan on doing everything, except for paint.

I thank you all for the support.

This was my plan- exacly. Well, w/o the turbo.

Here's the quick story:
I found the car advertized in Hemmings in, of all places, Franklin Co. Virginia - moonshine country. Black, factory stripe delete, added chrome trim and extra leaf in leaf springs at point of purchase (I have the reciept dated Nov. 1969)... You do the math.

I bought the car from the nephew of the orig. owner, who had committed suicide after he thought the Feds were going to throw the book at him for selling the supplies for 'shine. Nephew inherited the car after uncle shoots himself in '99, and totally restores it after pulling from the barn it had been in since '76. I've added the 18" Boyd's, TTI headers and x-pipe system, Mighty Demon 750 annular, and an Edelbrock Perf. RPM intake. Original manifolds, carb., etc. are in my attic. All #'s matching. I don't have the heart to cut it up.

Here's a shot of some of the minor clean up i've been doing...

I'm now in the hunt for something else to do the g-machine idea with. Maybe an E or A body. OR... maybe get in line for a '08 Challenger!
