Don't ignore the weight savings of running a set of Aluminum heads, nor the fact that you can get away with a bit more compression on pump gas, all other things being equal...

I did read that article back some time ago. it was very good. i have to go back over it again. thanx. any suggestions on a good head/cam combo for a budget? |

well, since i plan on keeping my ride, i decided to go with the forged scat assembly and the 383 edelbrock top end kit with the 200 E-Tec heads. they claim 460hp and torque which is what i want for now. and the scat forged setup will let me put on a charger down the road. i can still build the thing for just under 5k and have a bullet-proof engine.
what do you guys think? |
