Cut a bigger part of the coils :)

I guess I could. I don't really want it any lower in the front but guess we have to do what it takes to get it right... thanks for all the input guys. I'll post some more pics after we do some more lowering or raising.. There are mroe pics on my car domain webpage....

Ok, I went and looked at the larger pics on your web page and this is what my thoughts are:
Your headers appear to be pretty low as is so lowering it more would possibly cause more problems. The car is sitting pretty level now, what I think makes the car appear high in the front is the fact that you have 17" wheels on the front and 18's on the back. You just don't have enough height differance between the two so it appears that they are the same diameter wheel and the front just needs to come down more, judging from the fender lips. I believe that if you had a 245/40/18 on a 18x8 wheel in the front it would solve all your problems. I know you probably don't want to buy new wheels/tires for the front; but if I were you I wouldn't want to lower the front any more either...not to mention undercut springs are usually a bitch to deal with when you have to jack the car up. These are just my thoughts on the matter...BTW the car looks sweet!! |
I wouldnt lower it!!!! Drive on it! It will naturally come down a bit. My front end dropped maybe an inch after putting on some miles. I would leave it and get some miles on before making any other big changes!
Besides...I think it looks good as is! Tim |
Simply changing to an 18 fixes the rim size difference but then you have to run a thinner tire to keep the height the same and not raise the front. So then you will have a lower profile in the front then in the rear.
If the headers are the issue I would think headers are cheaper than wheels. The hood line does run up hill a little and lowering the front even 1/2" would be key. |
looks good, just needs a larger PIC!
lol |
the car is super bad ass, don't get me wrong

Thanks for all the input guys.. After reading all the posts I think I will just drive it for a while and see how it settles in. We actually cut over half a coil off last week and I haven't put more than 20-30 miles on it since. For those of you that need to see a bigger pic just go to my link in my sig at car domain for a larger pic.. Thanks again guys. Being from Oklahoma there are not too many camaros running around with this setup...I like it :D
