I would definitely want the mechanism to be dependable AND easy to use. Anything short of this would be dumb IMHO.

Has anyone used the Corvette Hand Brake?

I still have a hand brake from a 4th gen camaro I might take a look at...thanks Charley for the feed back! However I'm sure the Lokar will work for as little as I will drive this car...it can't be a DD with my job. Perhaps I should fill the hole I cut in the floor and go with a foot brake....

In my opinion, unless you are going to thrash you car or use it to drift with, the Lokar unit will work just fine. I mounted mine above the floor tunnel and ran the cables under the console ( which runs all the way to the back of the seats) and exits near the rear wheels. This really cleaned up the under carriage for that show car look.
