The CF Hoods are awesome.

Please keep me posted on when these go up for sale.

Thanks,

Still, somebody needs to make/sell this part. I would imagine many guys with regular cowl hoods would spring for them

You shipping my hood next week??? :unibrow:

Regarding the CF Hoods:

Do they need/ have any structure on the underside of them like the metal ones, or are they good to go without it?

Does anyone know if the gel coat could be tinted when they are made. It would look really cool to see a Red Hood that showed the CF underneath. Maybe just a Tint if nothing else.

Thanks,

Ty

The hood needs no support. This lends extra room for maybe a blower or such :)

I'm sure the gel could be tinted. You could also just shoot the hood in a tinted or candied clear.

I think on the Red Witch they just painted the hood on top to match the car, and left the underneath in carbon fiber.

I've been meaning to make one for my car for years... every time I drive it I think " hey I still need to make some sort of mesh cover for that vent"

I would buy one if someone made them....

Somebody needs to make a part to close off this area, some sort of wire mesh with a frame that will bolt to the factory locations. It would really do a lot to clean up this area and give a finished look.

Thoughts?

I am sure Marquez desing or Ring borthers could do it. Billet frame and stainless mess would be a hot ticket. Something similar than RingBros have for mustangs allready

I for sure would be in for one. I hate the look of the back of my hood now.

Firewheel Classics in Wyle,Texas has been selling grills for the back of the cowl opening that screw in at factory spots for a couple yrs. now. There not very expensive, waterjet cut,but not billet alum.Works good for me.
