Project is coming along well, just about 3-4 weeks behind schedule. I am HOPING the enginw will get here by the middle-end of next month and at that point I will have everything else ready. I will pick up the 9" within a week and have it in within a couple of days.

Since you won't have it at Car Craft, what's the goal? 1st of August?

At this point Scott, I am so bummed out about the engine,:( all I will set for goals is that I get the engine in and ready to go the weekend after it gets here.:_paranoid I will then haul it to Andy to tune and be ready to roll a week later. I think the 1st of August is reasonable though. I have all of the suspension in my hands and I will be setting on go when the motor gets here.

The motor is as follows
RESLEEVED LS1 BLOCK BY MTI
CALLIES “DRAGONSLAYER” CRANKSHAFT 4.0” STROKE
CALLIES “COMPSTAR” CONNECTING RODS 6.125”
WISECO PISTONS 4.125”
DOUBLE ROLLER TIMING CHAIN
SDPC PORTED AND SHIMMED OIL PUMP
ARP MAIN AND HEAD STUDS
COMETIC GASKETS
LS7 CYLINDER HEADS BY BAUER RACING ENGINES
CUSTOM 2.20” TITANIUM INTAKE VALVES
CUSTOM 1.6 SS EXHAUST VALVES
CNC PORTED EXHAUST RUNNERS
PEAK FLOW #’S INT=370 @ .650 EX= 258@ .650
FACTORY LS7 INTAKE MANIFOLD PORTED BY BRET BAUER OF B.R.E.
CUSTOM GRIND COMP CAMS CAMSHAFT BY BRET BAUER “CHUCK NORRIS GRIND” TOP SECRET SPECS
FUEL SYSTEM BY NASTY PERFORMANCE
PROTOTYPE LS7 BILLET FUEL RAILS
60 LB/HR MOTOTRON INJECTORS
WALBRO 255 LPH INTANK FUEL PUMP
PLUG AND PLAY HARNESS

Combination of things on the long wait. Most of the wait time was the heads. Friend of mine ported them and they were and as far as I know the only set just like them in the country. He ports for a very famous Corvette shop(can't say!!) and he did these on the side. About the time all of that got finished I moved and when I picked up the short block we noticed I had 2 piston skirts barely rubbing the counterweights on the crank. So I had to order new pistons... The list goes on and on and on....

The Valve covers are the GMPP ones that I had powdercoated. ~$200 IIRC.

Here are a couple of pics, not much just the painted intake and fuel rails and then a few shots of the car in decent light.

I appreciate the interest. It has been a labor of love, as I sure all of these cars on here are. Haven't worked so much on the looks part yet. Paint is about a year away..
