I think it's well worth the 40k. Some of the interior is weird looking, but quickly fixable. Pretty good buy IMHO.

I'd say that it very much worth the asking price.

My car also has over $50k in it and if I thought I could only get mid $30's for it, I'd keep it...:faint:

When rusty, bad paint, tired motor Camaros are bringing mid-teens to twenty something, cars like these are surely worth more than a mid-teen's price difference.:willy:

When you all go to sell your cars, I'm sure you won't price them at half what it cost you to build them....:_paranoid

I'm at the beginning of a ground-up 69 project myself, and I can say it's basically impossible to build this car for anything close to $40K these days, unless you find the proverbial perfect barn car from little old lady who has no idea what it's worth (good luck finding a little old lady that uninformed these days). By the time you get straight, rust free sheet metal ready for paint, with VIN tag, you're into it for $20K plus no matter how you start.

The claim is it's mini-tubbed - whose mini tubs? The rear tires don't look to be 315s or 335s. Just something to check.

If the body is straight and rust free, it's worth the asking price, IMO.

The same may be for Georgia??

Same here in Georgia. pre 74 not required. By the way, Dallas(Where the Real Bob Johnson lives) is over in Paulding County. It borders Douglas County where I live. I can go give it a look see if you want. IM me if you want, glad to help out.

The car looks very nice and i agree with those that say it is well worth the asking price!! I do agree that the seats do not go with the car at all but it is still worth it as is.... if it is as clean as the pics indicate. thumbs up!! good luck!!

You might want to check the accuracy of what you are saying. I think Road Killer painted John Parsons' car, but I think JP would be offended if you said anyone but him built the Chevy II.

Mr.VENGEANCE 06-06-2007 07:03 AM

sorry

Painted.. so bad with words:faint: ..

Jay Hilliard 06-06-2007 12:27 PM

Nice car. You would be hard pressed to build one just like it for $40k and you doing most of the work, unless you found a very straight car.

I say jump on it, before its gone.
