It's actually 5.5 Ride Height and 3.75 deflated. I want to make sure that when i deflate it i don't kill anything under the truck. |
Quote:
that is pretty conservative...but I understand why trust me, that nomad in the picture...the frame is already scratched and the car hasn't been shown yet! I have 89 pick up I drive everyday that is 2.5 off the ground static! hahaha but I don't mind dragging it! anyway truck looks killer man! |

(( https://lateral-g.net/forums/showthread.php4?t=1819 )) and i'm not looking for another. The other thing that I have going for me is the rear tires are 30.5" tall which will give it the illusion of being lower because the tires are so tall. The other part that will help with the lowered stance is the canvas black bed cover over a Champaign and Cherry Red paint. It all in how you trick the eye or that's at least what they tell me. |

Hi Travis - me to but it looks like it's going to get it's maiden voyage on the 07 Power Tour |
Quote:
your making pretty good progress do you think it will take that long to complete? |
My Goal is to have it complete by the 07 Power Tour.
I should have it back at my home shop around Dec/Jan. I will have about a month to finish up some loose ends on the truck. I want to get everything attached to the frame that need to be there. Once that is complete I plan to strip it down and take the frame, tailgate, core support and Cab to Detroit to have it Acid Dipped and E-Coated. Once that is complete it's off to the painter and powder coater. But we all know how thing go when your building a car. |

11-19-05 Update
Well not much to talk about this week. I had to special order some parts so we were in a holding pattern. Here's the new flanges for the mufflers. Just in case i want to pull the muffler off. http://www.sportmachines.com/albums/..._11_19_001.jpg And that special order part - the new exhaust tip that will exit out the side of the truck http://www.sportmachines.com/albums/..._11_19_002.jpg side view http://www.sportmachines.com/albums/..._11_19_003.jpg Here's a great picture of the stock frame to the tube frame transition. Rick "Opie" Waller had a lot to do with the look of this transition. I think his idea worked well. http://www.sportmachines.com/albums/..._11_19_011.jpg |
I havn't really been in the forum since this was originally posted...but that is gonna be one SICK truck. I need to go back and look through the whole thread. I don't have the time right now. But I'm sure when I get to it I will have plenty of questions. I'm working on an 02. It is my daily, but I do a little here and there.
