OMG! My last Car was a 67 Malibu h/t and it was black on black on black. I drove it everyday and man was it a pain in the @$$ to keep clean!!

Looks great! I didn't see the flat hockey sticks at first. What's the plan, shoot them flat or maybe just pearl so they're ghost stripes?

Just to join Charley in the ribbing and also be an ass, isn't there another Camaro parked in your shop that *used* to be black and ended up getting repainted blue because someone grew tired of keeping it clean? I think there's a lesson to be learned in there somewhere... :D

I know I've told you before, I love black, and would love to paint my car black, but I already know I do NOT want the job of keeping it clean. If you ever complain about keeping it clean, you'll never hear the end of it, from any of us! ;)

Jody, why don't you go skip the black and go with my old suggestion-- metal flake candy green with gold stripes and hood and trunk murals involving scantily clad women and an exotic animal or two for good measure. Maybe even a mural showing a scene with your own car in it. Especially if you ditched those Fikse's for some gold spoke Daytons. Pro-Ghetto-Touring, anyone? :p

Jody, I had a black 340 Duster. I also worked in a car wash at the time :)

Black

Don't worry Jody. If you go fast enough the car will clean itself - don't these guys know that already!!!! :) :)

About 7 months after I had my black 67, I noticed the paint dulling a bit so I paid a freind of mine who was a professional detailer at lowrider shows to clean it up for me. I kept track and he worked a total of 14 hours on the car and he said that it had to "cure" for 24 hours before I could wax it. Well, 48 hours and two coats of wax later, the car looked like it had just been painted and I was in love just watching bugs slip off it was so slick.......so was my ex g/f's cat. Saw one of the bugs and it jumped on the car to catch it; naturally clawing to get traction when it slipped off. Whole event took place in about 5 sec. I don't have a mean bone in my body but I've never wanted to kill a living thing more in my entire life!!!! Luckily, I was able to buff the scratches out....
So Jody, NO CATS!!!
