Derek69SS 01-27-2008 07:18 PM

Hey Scott, I drove past your house today, as I went to look at a truck for sale less than a block away. I noticed a FORD in your garage :faint:

The Camaro looks great. I can't wait to see it around this summer.

Lenie 01-27-2008 07:59 PM

Very nice Scott. Those of us that haven't reached the paint stage yet are crying.:D

Garage Dog 65 01-27-2008 08:12 PM

So well executed guys - it's almost a sleeper. Well, except for the burn the retina outta your eye sockets red, those huge tires and wheels and that mean and nasty sounding exhaust.... I love the under hood shot. Beautiful work Autokraft !!

Tom.A 01-27-2008 09:12 PM

Congrats! Looks killer :hail:

slck6t9 01-27-2008 11:53 PM

HOLY COW I love red!!!! Man your car turned out great Scott. Can only imagine how good you must feel right now. So how many times did you get up in the middle of the night to take a look at her? :unibrow:

Alex396ss 01-28-2008 01:33 AM

Awesome man, congrats!

Alex

XcYZ 01-28-2008 05:25 AM

Thanks guys, I couldn't be happier.

Derek, you must have looked in someone else's garage, no Fords at my house. :D I'm sure you saw the enclosed trailer, it's still in my shop driveway.

parsonsj 01-28-2008 05:34 AM

Scott,

It looks stunning! BEAUtiful! Congrats on the progress!

jy211 01-28-2008 05:36 AM

very very nice!

Payton King 01-28-2008 05:55 AM

It is fantastic!

The 4 month stint in the shop is almost as impressive as the car! I took my car to my paint shop in final primer. All it needed was a scuff and shoot..6 months later I had to get ugly just to get my car back. Proffessional shops are few and far between and it looks like you found one.

Good job Kurt!

I really like stock trim on a 69 and the lower chrome and lip moldings really make it stand out. I had to modify my front fenders or I would have done the same to mine.

Get off the computer and start wiring that thing....and make sure you updated the coverage on that car!

clill 01-28-2008 06:43 AM

Ahhhhhh...Next stop, Power Tour...Road grime,,,,,,rock chips,,,,paint overspray......

Congrats.:woot:

Bowtieracing 01-28-2008 09:05 AM

Looks nice Scott,

Is it finally road ready! Cant wait to here how it runs and drives:cool:

Yeah, I saw the trailer. The attached garage's door was open, but I didn't see your truck, otherwise I would have stopped in. This was around 4:30-5:00 yesterday.

I thought it looked like a Ford SUV in the garage, but I could be wrong... had a couple beers earlier. :_paranoid

A neighbor of yours (green house half a block south of your place) is selling an 84 GMC 1-ton crew-cab dually I took a look at. It looked very nice in the pictures... up close, not so much.

XcYZ 01-28-2008 10:17 AM

My wife has a dark blue Saturn Outlook.

I know the truck that you're talking about, but I've never been up close to it.

Stop by sometime.

DiecastMusclecars 01-28-2008 10:28 AM

Scott,

The car looks great! I can't wait to see it when it's all finished.

I can vouch for Autokrafts work! Kurt cares about the work that rolls out of his shop and it shows.

See ya this summer!

Reckley 01-28-2008 01:35 PM

The car looks great Scott. I just love how clean and new it looks. Can't wait to get the chance to see it. I bet you can't wait for spring.

Mike

I really want to see your car... The pictures look awesome.

Rybar 01-28-2008 06:21 PM

I wonder if Scott's gonna make his own car the next Lateral-G feature of the month :_paranoid

It should be the feature of the year

XcYZ 01-28-2008 07:54 PM

lol, no. My car will never be a Feature car. I post plenty of pics of it the way it is.

Derek, there's a lot more to look at now that it's all back together. Stop by anytime.

mdprovee 01-28-2008 08:06 PM

Scott, The car looks great. Your car has always been one of my favorites.

awr68 01-28-2008 08:08 PM

Can I stop by too...I'm just a plane ride away!!

XcYZ 01-28-2008 08:25 PM

Sure, Tony. Do you like snow? :D

awr68 01-28-2008 08:40 PM

Like Snow?

Actually no! Woke up to it today though and it made for a bad drive in...we simply just arent as prepared as other states when it comes to snow/ice, It's like we don't get it every year...but we do!

I actually used to like it as a kid when I snow skied a lot...but now it's just a pain!

zbugger 01-29-2008 03:14 AM

Car looks great, Scott. I can't wait to see video of it on the road. Were you changing anything on the interior?

XcYZ 01-29-2008 05:38 AM

The interior won't see a lot of changes... DSE dash, Recaro seats with Marquez door panels covered to match. The rear seat will be recovered to match the front seats, too. That's about it, nothing crazy or over the top.

jy211 01-29-2008 06:34 AM

Do you got any additional shots of the engine bay? I am liking the frame/inner fender color match combo...

syborg tt 01-29-2008 06:43 AM

Man does that car look awesome

Kudo's to everyone that worked on it.

trapin 01-29-2008 06:47 AM

That looks great, Scott. I'm glad you stayed with that color scheme...the red should really pop in the sunlight.

Woodward perhaps?

Musclerodz 01-29-2008 07:12 AM

Looks good Scott. I am sure your are cringing that first chip.

Mike

whytry 01-30-2008 08:46 AM

Man, car look awesome!!:hail: I bet your just waiting until the snow's gone...

bigtyme1 01-31-2008 04:58 PM

Scott, is that engine compartment flat black?

XcYZ 01-31-2008 05:07 PM

No, it's satin grey. Same as what Paul Van Nus used in his Nova.

Here's a few pics that show it better:
