another update we are on the home stretch, got the nitrous from NX, and it is awesome stuff, will provide detail pics later but brian havins there really set us up with the right stuff the first time.Got the rear passenger floor pans raised and new panels made, got rear firewall sealed and coated, and interior is all in and doing final nitrous install, vinny will be drag racing next monday, he also got slicks and skinnys for it, should run a very low 10 on a 100 shot.
it ran a 7.63 100 8th with 265 18 inch rear tires peddling it the whole way. should be good for high 10;s on motor. http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/f...p/IMG_0877.jpg http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/f...p/IMG_0910.jpg http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/f...p/IMG_0878.jpg http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/f...p/IMG_0858.jpg http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/f...p/IMG_0920.jpg the door in the firewall is access to the air pod connections. |

i was just watching the youtube video of the slalom course..that car is awesome!!!

got car done and to vinny, he wen drag racing today, and had a blast, got his drag package wheels from ccw, which are killer wheels, he is running a 26x12 m/h slick in the rear on a 16x11 and a 17x4.5 on the front with a 26x4 radial skinny
he ran 11.05, 10.84 then 5 straight 10.60's with a 10.60 flat at 130mph with a 1.60 short, the 1-2 shift was hitting rev limiter all day, the 2-3,shift was perfect, he is shifting at 6200 motor rev limit is 6800, hes got 1-2 tenths left on motor once dialed in, plus he didn't turn on the happy gas today, we will see what 150 and 200 shot do for it, this is all on air ride air bar, rear susp. will have pics at the track later. http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/f...p/IMG_0929.jpg http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/f...p/IMG_0942.jpg http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/f...p/IMG_0949.jpg |

That's great! So does all this make you want your car done or what?? ;)
|
Very nice.....that thing is gonna be nuts when you put the gas on it! How much converter do you have in it??

Any pics with the drag tires/wheels on it?
|
How do you guys like the Muscle drive converter?? How much does it footbrake?? Flashstall?? If its real tight and still works with that bigboy cam thats sweet!
|
3000 stall, if he doesn't footbrake it hits the tires real hard, the whole drivetrain for that matter, so he footbraked it
converter is killer, just enough stall but not irritating at all |
Sweet thanks for the info...I hope my new Continental "tight 10" feels the same way. Supposed to be very tight around town and average throttle but flashes 3000-3200. We will see...
|
looks good Vin...nice work Jake
|
thanks pete, heres a few shots from atco
10.60 @ 131 n/a next time out we throw 150 and 200 hp at it along with turning it to 7200 rpm not 6800. http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/f...track08024.jpg http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/f...track08027.jpg http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/f...track08017.jpg http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/f...track08028.jpg |
I like that left wheel getting some air..Im liking that car more and more. Keep it up guys
|
thats foot braking the 3000 stall converter:D
|
Awesome! That's a great multi-purpose car! I don't care who you are...that's cool right there!!
What suspension changes did you do for the track? No front sway bar, taller ride height, ect? I love those wheels, and for the price and service I can't believe more guys around here don't use them. Just flat out awesome Vin and Jake! The best part is that it's never down for too long during the mods!! Drive the hell out of it Vin...that's what you built it for!! |
front sway bar is still hooked, lift rear ride height up 2-3 inches, run slicks at 15 psi, wot
|
Nice job. Looks great
|
Have to respect a guy that actually drives the hell out of his car. Sweet wheelie man:thumbsup:
|
That car is just bad@$$. Talk about being able to do it all. Doesn't hurt to have an owner that isn't afraid to pound on it.
Great job on the build!! |
Thanks guys! Yeah the car ran awesome. I can't wait to hit it with a 200 shot... that should be fun.:wow: Jake did a great job on the car.
