ironworks 08-15-2008 09:35 AM

And plymouths, 39 ford, 36 ford, 50 mercury, 49 caddy, and 50 subaurban, and a ton of others. Oh and few mustangs now and then, and very soon a full carbon fiber Cobalt, with Procharged Small block.

I believe they call that ADD.

hi

the car sits on steel wheels right now.the ones in the pics were temps.i bought them to get an idea of how it would look with 18s,fit,etc..sold them
im actually working on the wheel pick right now.i have a scheduled phone call today to a company who has shown interest in a sponsorship...ill post if that works out.if not, no biggie .

philofab 08-21-2008 05:51 PM

Bunch of BS happened... got 6 skull fractures and a ruptured eye so the car hasn't moved in quite a while... it's been waiting on me to heal. Another couple of months and I should have my vision back. I'd really have liked to drive it to SEMA this year but that probably won't happen. I have almost everything to complete it... it just needs a ton of labor now.

Some dude that isn't right in the head flipped out and attacked me and few other people with brass knuckles. Got hit a few times and broke my cheek bones and other "delicate" bones in my face. I've gotten most of it fixed with titanium plates to hold it together. I've got one more surgery to move my eye so I don't have double vision.

Radrambler: Sorry to hi-jack your thread... What wheels are you planning on running? Have you decided yet?

radrambler 08-22-2008 01:05 PM

damn

philofab

uh ,the guy should be in jail.
hope you have a lawyer working for you..sounds costly ...
wheels,
i have talked to a couple different wheel mfgs ..i havent made a final pic.
i have narrowed it down to a couple .ill post as soon as they are ordered.
im still working on a possible sponsor deal right now...like i said if it happens great if not ,wheels have to be ordered this month.
good luck with your recovery. stay tuned im making real progress.

Great... I'm the competitive type and it will get me working on mine :). I've got all the parts to finish mine so I can't blame lack of progress on anyone but myself...

BTW, on a side note... I was in Florida a couple of months ago and I don't understand all the pro-touring cars and street bikes... all your roads a perfectly straight, flat, and smooth.

radrambler 08-24-2008 02:34 PM

yep

philofab

roads are pretty straight and flat for the most part ,unless you know where to go.:D

it feels like christmas..ups man showing up with parts several days in a row..
my autowire hwy 15 kit came in..holy bags of wire batman ! looks like fun..

TODAY-thanks to rodger @ironworks ..i got my new 6 piston dynapro front brake kit and dynalite 4 piston rear .had the calipers done in red and went with directional vane 12.19 rotors.not huge but the car is light and that what wilwood tech suggested..:woot:
my stock 10.75 rotor and caliper together weighed in at 27 lbs..my whole front kit was 41 so im saving about 20 lbs, but i spent money ..lol
made my radiator and dual fan mounts yesterday .gotta take a pic later.
measured up and picked my part #s for the vintage air system needs.waiting for pricing.
mounted a hub and a hat to measure for wheels ,good thing i didnt order those yet.i would have been in trouble.the new front hub pushed the mounting surface out .now i have to pick out wheels....:faint:

guys

heres the latest....dropped the engine in today to fab up compressor and alternator brackets and the air intake system.upper and lower rad. hoses.hell, a bunch of stuff.anyway the car was supposed to be in and out of my freinds resto shop already but he has had so much work i cant get that exterior done.being that im not paying for all of it to get done and those cutomers are ,i have to wait....so instead of wasting anymore time .im going to fab and fit everything that goes in the engine compartment.
my vintage air should be here any day.so i have plenty to do.

Paint can wait...you are better off fabbing as much as possible before paint! You will thank your friend for being too busy once the car is painted and all the parts are already built!

Looking good!!
