i thought it was cool too. i have 3 kids and only my youngest shows intrest. isnt it amazing how young kids would rather play w tools & hot rod parts than toys. i guess you are born w autombile pox, if your going to have it. my dad always tells me stories of how i used to tear everything apart as a youngster, he says now he understands why.

Bill,

Interesting placement on the MC and booster. Do you plan on running wipers? I'd be interested to know how you engineered that...very cool...

ron yes im running wipers.(the its a snap kit. ) the brake set up is from eci its designed for a 55 chevey i think. i took the car a spin today and the brakes worked excellent. however i had to cut out the majortiy of the fresh air plenium to make room room for the unit.

Bill do you have some type of cover for the top of the brake setup or underneath to keep water and exhaust fumes out of the interior? I really dig the setup!

i dont know any thing a bout duponts suede , but we all know they all sell the same proudcts but call them something diff. this clear was actually devloped in the commercial coatings line but then converted to vibrance . if they offer it in the commercial line you know it has to be tough. it really does feel like velvet. ( and yes my wife had to try to prove them wrong on my test panels and tryed to scratch it, she couldent" and she has nails. lol bill

rwhite692 05-03-2008 04:17 PM

Great looking car! Thanks for the pics and updates! -Rob

bill amsley 05-05-2008 07:09 PM

thanks for the positive fedback. i will have the car totally done by the end of the week and will post some good pics. a collector who bought a previous car of mine stopped in today and expressed serious intrest in buying the car after columbus and a few other shows. i told him i wanted to put 2500 miles of fun on it first. so my wheels are turning about my next build. bill

There's another guy up there that does interior work I was looking into. Thought maybe that was were you went. We have a big show down here on the 3rd Friday of every month. love to see you bring it down sometime. I'm about an hour and 1/2 from you.

01somta 05-11-2008 07:49 PM

One of the best color combos that I have seen!! Perfect car!!

Lenie 05-11-2008 07:53 PM

Really like the satin inserts. I wish I wouldn't have allowed my painter to talk me out of them. May have to go back and shoot them on later. Nice car.

thanks for the positive feedback, but you know theres no such thing as a perfect car, theres always something you wish you have done differently.

we drove the camaro 685 miles to and from oc. the weekend was great and the car made the trip with no suprises. we paraded the board walk (idiling for 1hr 45 min)thats a real cooling system test. the car was a real hit,we won a top honors trophy for the coolest rod on the beach up at the hooters/ice cream castle show. i met so many nice, down to earth people, that reminded me why i love this hobby. the wheather held out till we were 40 miles from home. look for some pics in camaro perf chuck vranas really liked the car. i am starting to plan my next build(69 camaro convert w/04 gto running gear), i am working on a spot for sema,so i better get to work the clock is ticking.
THANKS BILL

Nice Car!

I noticed at some point at the beginning a hard top boot being constructed...Did it end up finished? Don't see it anywhere?

I'm interested in finding one or getting the guts to try my hand at it...
