The Long Ram engine package was more of a low rpm version, or for better description- street version. I too have a set of these Long Rams and have toyed with making a simillar style set up to utilize 2 turbos and injection. I hope this clears things up. |

That really turned out great, can't wait to see it put back together. That color really pops. The engine bay shot kind of looks like a bowl of lime Jello, really wild, they're making some intense colors these days.Should look wild with the engine back in place.Ron http://mysite.verizon.net/ls6ron/

What do you guys think all black rims, black with polished lip, or all polished aluminum? http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i1...08/dart016.jpg http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i1...08/dart019.jpg http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i1...08/dart015.jpg http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i1...08/dart017.jpg |
door panel design i made for it
the black is the leather looking stuff, and the grayer stuff will be black suede which is also going on the head liner and the seat inserts http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i1...pboard01-1.jpg |
Your ride is turning out really awesome... are you going to finish polishing the intake(s)... or perhaps paint them the same green color?
|
they're going to be polished
|
put the front end on just to get the look, we have to paint black behind the grill, cause it just doesnt look good like this

ya, guess you gotta work with what you got
my friend let me borrow his tires and rims just to see if they'd fit, it was a long shot but they actually fit dam good, its a 10" tire which i didnt even think was going to fit but they do, The offset is almost perfect, its gonna need to go out about a 1/4" more when i get the rimss just so it clears the leaf springs a little more. http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i1...dgedart007.jpg http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i1...dgedart006.jpg http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i1...dgedart005.jpg http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i1...dgedart008.jpg http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i1...dgedart009.jpg |
They look good
|
Very cool project! Good to see an A body or something different then an E body or a 1 st gen Fbody or 1st gen mustang... Not that there's anything wrong with that!!
|
painted some rustolium in the car and put the dash in
http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i1...dgedart013.jpg http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i1...dgedart014.jpg http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i1...dgedart015.jpg |
dash is all done and wired, made the wiring pannel, tail lights wired, headlights wired, tan the battery cable froms the trunk, painted the front black that shows through from the grill and started cleaning under the front end.Under the dash is white because when working on it, it lightens it up a lot better than doing it all black.
http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i1.../100_07051.jpg http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i1.../100_07061.jpg http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i1.../100_07071.jpg http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i1.../100_07041.jpg http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i1.../100_07011.jpg |
Awesome build! :hail:
Love what you did with the dash. I'm going to be doing something similar with my 71 Dart except i'm not sure if I will make the cluster blend with the rest of the dash like yours or have it so I can pull the whole cluster out. Have any tips on building a new cluster? |
Really nice work Joe440! What is the name of the colour? I think it looks like the colour I have! It isn't Nissan Apple Pearl Green by any chanse?

They do look very similar, but no. This is actually sherwin williams paint theres not a name for it but it came out of their "hot rod colors" booklet. We call it snake skin green:D , Nice cuda by the way! |
Thanks Joe, to me it seems like the colour respond to light and clouds the same way as my colour.
