#2 Right doesn't look too bad, that's usually the first to go. #6 Left is toast though, same as on mine.
Getting her done though... Can't say I've ever seen a pretty much complete frame lifted onto it's side with a cherry picker though...where there's a will, there's a way! |
Used the cherry picker and a 2 ton come along to lift the body.. There are 5 holes that need attention
|
got both #6 holes repaired..
both #2 are getting repaired as well there are paper thin edges on them... DS#7 well im going to have to make a complete new mount what DS#6 was.. https://fbcdn-sphotos-b-a.akamaihd.n...05165610_n.jpg DS#7 https://fbcdn-sphotos-d-a.akamaihd.n...27425105_n.jpg https://fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.n...41328520_n.jpg DS#6 repaired https://fbcdn-sphotos-h-a.akamaihd.n...5d1085433700b1 PS#6 https://fbcdn-sphotos-b-a.akamaihd.n...23514900_n.jpg next body work for the mount locations |

Not sure of your budget but you can get an entire floor pan for $450 with free shipping. If you only had a few holes I would say just patch them up and call it a day, but it seems you have more then a few and the floor is prolly pretty weak. If you dont care about looks you could just cut out the rust and weld in some sheet metal, thats what I did since its a floor and nobody will see it under the carpet.
Here is the entire floor pan, its cheaper to get the entire thing then it is to buy halfs and have to pay for shipping. http://www.gbodyparts.com/product_in...oducts_id=1484 |
Talk to RideTech too. Killer shocks, front control arms, and front sway bar. Also DSE for rear control arms and rear sway bar.

Thanks miles I didn't that full one piece floor pans where available..
Mike Monte is ~1.5 hours from my home.. Maybe they can get their hands on one.. Save a lot on shipping.. Conrad that's the general direction I'm heading |
Its free shipping to a business if you have any buddy's that work at a place that would be able to sign the paper work.

haven't realy done much to it...
used it as a A-B vehicle, back up parts hauler... https://scontent-ort2-2.xx.fbcdn.net...23&oe=5B57ABDC had my lmm dmax fail out in Colorado couple years back, hauled a long block dmax out there plus tools. swapped my 175lb spring out for the 300lb 2.5" springs... https://scontent-ort2-2.xx.fbcdn.net...88&oe=5B54D342 western KS has some advantages... still pulled 16mpg with a 600cfm edelbrock carbed, 468 BBC, T56 viper, 3.08 gear 275/40/17 tires, that's running 5th, 6th was too much and dropped under the power band. https://scontent-ort2-2.xx.fbcdn.net...02&oe=5B619515 loaded everything up after me and two guys did a R&R over the weekend https://scontent-ort2-2.xx.fbcdn.net...f1&oe=5B5BE0EB https://scontent-ort2-2.xx.fbcdn.net...c7&oe=5B6DC3F0 loaded up ready to head home, https://scontent-ort2-2.xx.fbcdn.net...32&oe=5B635A04 just ordered rear UCA/LCA braces, most likely get rear shock brace and few others |
So calling around asking questions, getting back in the know of what's available.... Run across Schwartz performance.. semi local to me... They make a body drop on replacement chassis starting ~10k for Gbody..
It's not hard to rack up 10k in suspension/rear axle for a GBody... http://www.schwartzperformance.com/1...carlo-chassis/ And being able to run 345 on a GBody would be pretty cool.. |
