This is by far my favorite car on the site for sure.
I love every detail about it.

Here is a pic of what mine was going to look like. There are some things in this rendering that wouldnt have made it to the car . The So LoCo on the quarter is something Ben Hermance came up with

This is one incredible rendering. been collecting Sunoco Stuff for many years.

How did Sunday morning at the AutoCross go? I had to bug out early due to a sick child.

Track Day

The first track day for me & my car went great. Got there at 8:00am Baked in the sun until 4:00pm. Fastest lap of the day was a honda S2000 at 53:00 seconds. My first time was 74:00 seconds / 2nd. pass 70:00sec. last pass 68:00sec. Didnt see what pass 3 & 4 were. I have a lot to learn. Taylor from Mizfit was there an video taped each run.He said he would get it down loaded in a few days. The car is faster than I am. nothing broke & we came home in one pice. To morrow is open track day at HTP road course. Will not leave my camara at home this time. check in thurs. night. Scott

Mizfit 07-15-2008 08:42 PM

We had a great time watching all the cars. Scott's car has a ton more in it no dobt. Really the course was setup to tight for anything larger then a S2000. I got it on tape so I am going to try and get it loaded up asap. Just been real busy. Had a great time taping and watching. Thanks for the invite again scott.

ok I'm just gonna try this. This is Scott's first run in this Camaro at the KC Speedway last Sunday. Sorry for the loser quality and those camera man skills of mine :(

so that didn't work at all. The vids are in my photobucket (and that wasn't his first run either. DOH!) LINK:

City of the South,
Thanks for the videos.

Jr 07-21-2008 12:05 PM

Coolweld,
That car looks great running around the track

city_ofthe_south 07-22-2008 06:33 AM

np ... maybe shoulda started another thread cause I'm sure plenty of peeps want to see the video but aren't checking this thread .... This is the first time I converted video to go online. I was going from Hi8 to mpeg and they really look horrid. Anyone know any tricks for quality? I was just using the crapola software that was with the camera. Image mixer or something like that.

coolwelder62 07-22-2008 05:38 PM

Thanks Colter for downloading the video. Its great. Thats the first time I seen the car from the outside. I look slow from outside but it seems like 100mph from inside the car. Looks like I need aton of seat time. I was so nevrus I for got to turn on my camara inside the car. It was great to talk to you on the phone sun. scott.

city_ofthe_south 07-23-2008 07:07 AM

yw. I'm gonna stick the VHS in the mail today.

KC GoodGuys

We autocrossed the car at KC car goodguys last week end . With my son driving the car were only 1.1sec off Kyle Tuckers best time. And were the fastest steel bodied car next to kyle times. A 1100# lotus 7 And 2000# fiber glass dragon w auto cross slicks were the only cars faster and only .059 & .029 thousandth of a second faster. My digtial camera found its way into the wash mon. night .Its toast but maybe the card is good it has all the video on it .Will have my brother check it out. and have down load it it is ok. The car is faster than I can drive it. Scott

congrats car looks killer, u should come to rtth

coolwelder62 09-06-2008 11:16 AM

I wanted to, but thats the weekend I am going to try to get my SCCA COMP.driving lic. But I will be there next year.I wish directv had V8TV so I could see all the action.Scott.

city_ofthe_south 09-09-2008 06:59 AM

I saw your car at Goodguys but I didn't get to see it run or I might have gotten a little more video. I have a few pics of some of the cars that did run though not great ones. KC could use to plant a few trees and use barriers rather than fence to protect us from the course ... better viewing, better pictures.

Jr 09-09-2008 02:06 PM

We need a new link to the pictures. The link on the first rage no longer works.:willy:

Cool! Definitely my kind of car. Reminds me of the 4th Gen Sunoco tribute car that GM built with the wheels and graphics. So it's kind of a retro-version of a modern retro, or something like that.
