Here's some pics of Chuck Vranas, Contributing Editor of Camaro Performer Magazine, taking pics of the disassembly. There will be a feature in an upcoming issue of the magazine telling of how the Lateral-g.net community came together and helped get Tony's car back on track, as well as covering the entire project.

Thanks Comp-Spec & Camaro Performers!
It just doesn't get any cooler than that! The L-g story needs to be told...it's a good one!
I'm sure we have our own Steven Rupp to thank for this...he's a real good guy/friend! Thanks Steve!! Boy that car sure photographs well!! When Pete says "he'll get right on the project" he's serious!! :hail: :woot: Thanks for the update Pete!! |
Wow, that door jamb is horrible.

Were you refering to the previous job? |
Guys, Carter is working on the final rendering today. As soon as I get it you all will be able to see the direction the car is now going! Sharing info and keeping you all in the loop is the least I can do as this has really become a Lateral-g project!
I wanted to publically thank Carter again! He is REAL busy and still took the needed time to help me out! What a guy....I highly recommend him!! |
i second that

Rendering??......
So who is this Carter-guy anyway? Is he really that good? And, an even better question: Has he ever rendered a Camaro before????
......... Just kidding!!! I too look forward to seeing Carter's rendering of your (our) project. Carter: It was great seeing you in Columbus, and I look forward to seeing you at SEMA. --Eric |

I can see this thread going on and on and I have no complaints with that, that's for sure.
I, for one, am following this thread closely. What a horrible job the previous builder/painter did before Pete and his guys got their hands on it. Just horrible. Can't wait to see the new rendering and colors. Should look awesome!!! |
There is no way that car was in his garage at home while he was working on it. That thing was left outside long enough to get the wierd looking stains in the clear and the start of a bees nest.
Now that the car is being pulled apart it looks alot worse. I just get mad seeing this type of stuff. Got to give it to Tony to stay optomistic thru his whole ordeal. I kept telling him to get his car back and that he wasn't going to get it right the second time. Tony just kept saying " he'll make it right and fix it." Tony really trusted the guy and thought he was a friend. He just didn't care about the details. |

Been a little busy lately and just got caught up by reading this whole thread. It's going to be awesome to see this thing all come together. I can see Leno getting a hold of this story:lol: . Tony, you're gonna be a star! Remember us pee-ons when you get there!
|
Jeff you crack me up!!
|
Pete thanks for sharing all the pictures with us. It's nice to see all this unfolding.
It's hard to believe that all this is taking place. Sure makes me glad I called Tony out. |
I cant wait for everyone else to see the new renderings. Think late 80's mini-truck..........splatter graphics, greens whites and pinks, YEEEE Haaaa....
J/K It's gonna be drop dead gorgeous! |

Well you know Tony came from the mini-truck crowd. |

I have to check :lateral: 8 times a day just to keep up with this thread!
I've been lucky and Anthony has shared some of his ideas for the new paint with me. I think it's a fitting change and a good way to shake off any bad mojo left over from all of the B.S. he's gone through. It's all good from here on out! :captain: |
Awesome progress guys...in such a short period too.
Huge props for everyone who stepped up and contributed to the cause. I can't wait to see where my little donation went, lol. Man Tony, you're gonna have one killer Camaro...:woot: |
