Here's some pics of Chuck Vranas, Contributing Editor of Camaro Performer Magazine, taking pics of the disassembly. There will be a feature in an upcoming issue of the magazine telling of how the Lateral-g.net community came together and helped get Tony's car back on track, as well as covering the entire project.

No, it is getting a complete color change. I'll let Tony reveal the new color when he is ready.

Mick Mc 10-01-2008 01:28 PM

As far as I'm concerned it's all good......now!

Were you refering to the previous job?

awr68 10-01-2008 01:55 PM

Guys, Carter is working on the final rendering today. As soon as I get it you all will be able to see the direction the car is now going! Sharing info and keeping you all in the loop is the least I can do as this has really become a Lateral-g project!

I wanted to publically thank Carter again! He is REAL busy and still took the needed time to help me out! What a guy....I highly recommend him!!

radrambler 10-01-2008 02:31 PM

i second that

So who is this Carter-guy anyway? Is he really that good? And, an even better question: Has he ever rendered a Camaro before????

......... Just kidding!!! I too look forward to seeing Carter's rendering of your (our) project.

Carter: It was great seeing you in Columbus, and I look forward to seeing you at SEMA.

I can see this thread going on and on and I have no complaints with that, that's for sure.
I, for one, am following this thread closely.
What a horrible job the previous builder/painter did before Pete and his guys got their hands on it. Just horrible.
Can't wait to see the new rendering and colors. Should look awesome!!!

96z28ss 10-01-2008 03:36 PM

There is no way that car was in his garage at home while he was working on it. That thing was left outside long enough to get the wierd looking stains in the clear and the start of a bees nest.
Now that the car is being pulled apart it looks alot worse.
I just get mad seeing this type of stuff.

Got to give it to Tony to stay optomistic thru his whole ordeal. I kept telling him to get his car back and that he wasn't going to get it right the second time. Tony just kept saying " he'll make it right and fix it."

Tony really trusted the guy and thought he was a friend.
He just didn't care about the details.

Yeah. That is tough. You wanna believe someone is doing their best on your car and give them the benefit of the doubt and it just doesn't pull through. NOT COOL!!!

Spiffav8 10-02-2008 11:29 AM

I have to check :lateral: 8 times a day just to keep up with this thread!

I've been lucky and Anthony has shared some of his ideas for the new paint with me. I think it's a fitting change and a good way to shake off any bad mojo left over from all of the B.S. he's gone through. It's all good from here on out!

:captain:
