More to come when i start putting it back together. Attachment 24305 Attachment 24306 Attachment 24307 |
Awesome. Definitely get some good shots of the rolling chassis when the drivetrain goes back in. Great garage wall Art.

Nice. Excuse my ignorance but, what all mods did you do to the frame? I love the low gloss finish.
|
Thanks guys. I basicly backhalved it for the four-link and tubs so thats what the bars are pointing up are for. Heres a pic of it before takin apart.
Attachment 24324 Attachment 24325 Just 2 by 4 square tubing for the rear of the truck to sit low and look rite. |

I bought a kit and it comes with a air gun.
Attachment 24326 |
Ahhh, ok. You know, now that I see that, I think I saw that same kit the other day. Looking at Evade's thread, I just like how that stuff lays down. A nice, slight textured look.
|
Yea I was goin us herculiner till I seen Evades thread to and seen how it layed out nice and it's about same price. I think I'm goin be real happy with it when I start to spray it.

|
How much did it run you to coat the frame, if you don't mind me asking?
|
350 for everything, thats blasting the frame, front springs, control arms, and rear dialongal link and shock brackets and coating them to. :D

It looks like we have a few things in common. OBS trucks and Mopars. I see the big block Mopar in one of the back ground pictures. I am also working on a 69 Dart 340 4spd. I am putting in a 69 RoadRunner 383. |
That is a buddy of mines motor he is putting in some old mopar 88 or something. Its a 413 motor. Hes got a 70 Challenger R/T too.
|
Looking good!

Old Trans pan Attachment 25363 New TCI deep pan Attachment 25364 New rearend parts. Attachment 25365 Attachment 25366 |
Does it look better without the coils on valve covers?
Attachment 25504 |
Its a toss up. If you run the MSD coil packs they look pretty damn god but remote mounted would look cool too
|
Awesome project.
For the coils, I like the cleaner look without the coil packs. Lets more of the color on the valve covers show. |

Man, seeing how clean your frame is makes me want to take my bed off and start getting rid of the rust. Lookin' great!!!
|
Yea most are not goin to take it as far as I did put I had it apart so I got it blasted and powdercoater but nothing a little elbow crease and some good chassis paint can't fix. Urs is lookin good to. Eastwood makes good chassis paint if that's what u want do.
|
After I have a nice garage to work in, I'll tear it all down and get everything clean and powdercoated.

Yeah, many years ago I wished, "man, I wish I had a garage". Now I have a two car garage and think, "D@m, I wish I had a garage large enough for storage, daily drivers AND projects!". Hahahahaha |
Yea guys a nice shop does help alot. I really don't have a excuse not to work on it. We even have it air conditioned. But in La u about have to. It's just the Monet thing that holds me up mostly.
