Awesome looking project.

My buddy and I came down a few weeks ago, he was looking for some stuff for his Model A and didn't realize you didn't have stuff on display any more. Talked to the nice lady in the showroom for a bit. Nice shop. Would like to come down for a tour some time.

BaddestBuick 10-18-2009 02:29 PM

Is this car completed? anymore updates?

Roadster Shop 10-19-2009 06:44 AM

The challenger had to take the back seat to the Vette and a few other customer cars that we had to get out for this summer. I guess that is the problem with a "shop car", never enough time to work on it.

We just started working on it again about a week ago doing the assembly and wiring. Here are a few quick photos. I'll post better pictures this week when the hood, tail lights, and grille are installed.

That's how you fit a bumper! :wow:

Mr.VENGEANCE 10-20-2009 08:16 AM

damn what color grey is that?

awesome build!

Roadster Shop 10-20-2009 09:17 AM

The bottom of the car is done in a bed liner material. Same type of stuff used in pick ups. The first few cars we actually brought to a Rhino Lining or Line-X place for them to spray. That got to be too much of a pain, so we started doing it in house now.

The color is a custom color that we mixed up. Originally wanted to paint it similar to a Audi TT color that we liked. But after a few spray outs, we decided that was too dark. So we started fresh and came up with a unique color.

Roadster Shop 10-20-2009 10:31 AM

Here are some intake shots.

The front of the intake tube will seal to an air box in the bottom of the hood.

That intake idea is awesome. The fitment of the front bumper is sick!

dodge 10-20-2009 03:38 PM

WOW..keep up the great work:thumbsup:

G-Body 10-20-2009 03:49 PM

Wow the gapping on this car is remarkable! great work and love the color!

BRIAN 10-20-2009 05:48 PM

Besides the incredible quality what i like about it is that nothing looks added on. No tons of small billet add ons. Whoever is designing your cars is just dead on. The fit of the bumper, the angle of the gap and the overlapping satin black just looks perfect.

69496 10-21-2009 04:34 PM

Beautiful work guys. You are raising the bar

camaro2nv 10-21-2009 04:54 PM

waynieZ 10-28-2009 03:42 PM

Awesome work guys .This car is amazing. I love the whole car but I can't stop looking at the back end . Wow.

Roadster Shop 10-28-2009 04:11 PM

Thanks to everyone for all of the great comments ad response on this build.

"Doitbby" - we can definitely still work with you on a project despite the distance. I had a customer in this afternoon to view his project that is from the L.A. area. Actually, the majority of our customers are from all over the country, not the mid west. We have 2 cars in Phoenix, 2 in Alberta Canada, a few in California, about 5 up and down the east coast, and a few scattered across the south that we have built in the last few years.

We are delivering a 57 convertible in Scottsdale, AZ after SEMA and then heading up to the Good Guys show in Pleasanton. I will have open room on the truck heading home.

doitbby 10-30-2009 10:46 AM

i just get paranoid of my car being so far away. I have been screwed by so many shops that its hard to really trust anyone. that sux. nothing personal, just still feeling the sting from these experiences. your work is top unreal. one of the nicest ive ever seen

Roadster Shop 11-13-2009 01:20 PM

Just got the car on the ground for the first time with wheels and tires and it looks SICK!!!!

Is that ride ht in the rear? MAN! That car looks so good. The gaps, the detail, the wheel choice, everything. Top notch!:hail:

Derek Miller 11-13-2009 02:00 PM

One of the best looking challengers I have ever seen. Hope you guys take it to SEMA next year so I can see it in person.

erhm.... the fit is awesome... the stance is right on... but.. your steering joints and .. hmm bumpsteercorrection looks alittle, show car only.. the heims are if left unprotected not suited for that use.... and relying on a single sheer conection and threads in loose fit hole in a steering loint is asking for trouble..

But love the car, but i wouldnt take it on power tour with that steering!
