Terry went all show car with a Chevy stepside pickup and went on the circuit. He won several shows and at the end of the year won best interior. The caveat to the story was that Chip was who actually sewed and did the interior, not Terry. He struck out on his own soon after that.

I can see why. He does great work.
Car looks great. Keep us posted.

The last pic is of the smoothed chrome rear bumper. It came out real nice. There is a small chrome shop in the area that is trying to make a name for themselves. They have low overhead and as a result have some great pricing.[/QUOTE]

Who is the chrome shop and if you dont mind what did the charge you? I too am sectioning and tucking it in and removing the bolts. I am out here in the Bay Area and I cant even get anyone to touch mine for less than $400 to chrome it.

It is Treasure Valley Chrome Plating, 201 SW 2nd. St., Fruitland, Idaho, (208) 452-2455. They charged me $250 which included two copper baths with a blocking between the two in order to remove any waves from the welding. They had me leave the welds a little high and they finished them.

Been busy at work and trying to get the Camaro done so that I can drive it this summer after 5 years of work. Pushed the car into the driveway this weekend so that I could begin the final push to paint the hood, cowl, and header panel. My wife took a picture of the dog and got the car in it. I'll post more as I get them and upon completion.

Very cool car and congrats on building it your self. Is the interior in the trunck finished yet it looks like there is an arrow in the carpet just asking :hail:

jsr69 04-15-2010 07:57 AM

The trunk is finished, just haven't cleaned up the chalk marks yet.

Thanks for all the comments. It's been fun building it myself. Can't wait to drive it. Planning on starting it this weekend if my power steering fittings show up. I'll try and post a video.

Any updates?

I'm getting closer. The exhaust is now on the car, and finishing up the details on the front end. Everything is painted and ready to install except the hood and it is in final polishing. Should have the car off the jackstands this weekend and will shoot some pics and post next week along with a small video of it running. I like the way it sounds.

Well it's finally done except for the fact that they are never really done. I've already developed a list of winter changes for the car. Sorry for the delay in posting updates as I've been debugging timing and fuel issues along with a hospital stint for the wife. She's doing fine now and should recover fully.
