Yea the rockers are sweet. The fab work is very detailed. The front end is starting to take shape...then off to the body shop.

Workmanship is amazing. Working on a stronger floor with full frame rails.
Complete redesign rear end really looks bad a#$. Enough room for 19 x 12 rear wheels or more? Wheels arrived... Working on the exhaust. More to come, stay tuned. http://lh5.ggpht.com/_5tBNuJc3R20/SX...0/DSC01230.JPG http://lh6.ggpht.com/_5tBNuJc3R20/SY...0/DSC01235.JPG http://lh3.ggpht.com/_5tBNuJc3R20/SY...0/DSC01251.JPG http://lh5.ggpht.com/_5tBNuJc3R20/SY...0/DSC01246.JPG http://lh6.ggpht.com/_5tBNuJc3R20/SY...0/DSC01256.JPG http://lh5.ggpht.com/_5tBNuJc3R20/SY...0/DSC01258.JPG |

One of my favorite body styles. Thanks for posting. Please keep the pics coming! |
This one is gonna be cool! Where did you guys get the windshield?
|
Flush Windshield -
Are you just building up the area where the windshield sits so that it can glue in flush ? If so are you also "shrinking" the outer perimeter of the windshield frame to fit the glass ? I assume you aren't using an oversized Lexan piece but original size glass. I'm just curious how this is done, the picture you posted of the a-pillar to be honest looks kind of stock to me, I can't see where it has been built up in either dimension, although it does look smoothed like some metal work has been done. Anything you can do to explain this process is appreciated. |
Maybe flush is not the proper word. I believe the windshield is from new stock. The gap the trim covers is reworked so that it is closer to the windshield then a modern windshield seal can be used which looks flush.
Hope this helps. ;) |
WOW!!! Love seeing something new here.Great project. The Ring bros. group are nice people.Good luck hope your build is every thing you hoped for.Scott.

Those rear cans a bit much but maybe I'm not seeing the full fruit of your vision there. That JME stuff is sure nice. I like the circular shock towers with the bolt on caps too. Ring Bros does some super nice engine bays. Always loved '69/70 fastbacks, kind of wished I'd started with one but they were already out of reach back in the early 90's when I started and there were almost no replacement parts for them vs the '67/68 I ended up with.
Those photos say April 2009, looking forward to seeing more without waiting for months. |
Gald you enjoy. The cans as you refer are for flame throwers I bet!
|
Thats some impressive fab work there. Very nice.
|
Those front suspension pieces/crossmembers are insane. They will look right at home with the Ring Bros style. Love the fab work guys.
