Randy,
The car is looking great! I wish mine was as far along. Are you any closer to letting us in on that rear suspension set up? Pricing, what's in the kit? Install pics and notes? I am really interested in doing that to mine.
Thanks and keep those pictures coming!

Ralphlovs72chev 05-13-2009 09:57 AM

Randy on that Lizard skin, how much material was needed to do the car and what size needle was use for the application? Im intrested in buying some and doing the same thing to my car. Love the progress and color choice:thumbsup:

WhitecatD 05-13-2009 12:08 PM

I agree, the lizard skin looks great!
I have some questions.

Being water based, how well does the stuff stick?

Could I just spray the Lizard Skin on and then not put any carpet in? In other words, is the Lizard Skin strong enough to be used like a floor mat?

66LS7 05-13-2009 04:29 PM

how much

The amount of Lizard Skin is caculated by figuring the square footage of the panels you would like to cover. I used the optional gun that you can purchase from Lizard Skin. I would give them a call & they can set you up.(1-800-549-0043).

The product sticks very well, it can be used on the bottom of the car if you choose, but should be top coated with a paint to ease clean-up. I would recomend contacting Lizard Skin & ask for specific details on aplications. (1-800-549-0043).

Hood?

If you don't mind me asking who is that hood made by? Is it steel or fiberglass & any modifications to it? I prefer a stock flat hood over most cowl hoods but due to hood clearance issues a cowl is needed. This one seems to follow the lines of the fender a lot better than most!
Thanks and beautiful car!

66LS7 06-14-2009 07:05 AM

Fiber Glass

The hood is fiber glass & we have many hours in it to make it look as good as it does. I believe the co. in which the hood comes from is Unlimited fiber glass. We had to modify the back side for clearances, & then the edges to meet up with the fenders better. I would recommend getting a steel hood depending on the amount of clearance you need. I am a Good Mark dealer let me know if I can help.
