Ohhhhh....that will look KILLER! I figured that you guys would come up with something totally outside the box!

Mark my words though, all of the "other" shops (Chip, Troy, Rodger, Chris, Ring Bros, etc.) will see this mod and start using your idea on their builds.

Romulus 06-12-2009 09:41 AM

As a non-Corvette purist... AWESOME.

Are you keeping the soft top available? I've been debating opening up my inner wheel wells because of proximity to the soft top boot.

Someone insinuated Good Guys. Is some or all of this gonna be out there? Was debating the trip - but that would pretty much wrap it up for me.

E.rodz 06-12-2009 11:22 AM

wow this build looks awsome. thanks for being an insperation to me. every time i think i can reach the top bar some j.a. has got to raise it out of reach j.k. love it keep up the good work.let me know if you need any packaging tape to fasten the shock res. on. i think that would look better.

Side body modification. Eliminated the stock "cove" in the door and fender. Made a deeper recess that housed 3 carbon fiber louvers.

Laying out the new body lines
http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/ss79/RS-Perf/52.jpg

Door and rear of fender recesses cut in and mocking up louver design.
http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/ss79/RS-Perf/53.jpg

Louvers first fabricated out of aluminum. These will be used as bucks for the carbon fiber panels.

Completed aluminum work w/ recess glassed into the body.

eliminated the stock windshield trim and fabricated a complete new design. The top of the cowl was changed for a smoother transition. The windshield was also trimmed down and leaned back for a mroe aggressive profile.
