But im definitely looking forward to seeing the car perform against the top cars in the country and im sure it will be a great time! It still amazes me this car came together in seven months even though i witnessed every step of the build. and on top of that how well the car performs and drives is something to really be proud of. congrats scott great work!

All I can say is give er hell fellas. I hope you guys kick some tail and bring her home in one piece.

This was my favorite looking car at the Optima event.. it just oozes badassness..

Loved it too Steve!
I got to talk to Scott for quite some time at the track...REAL nice guy!!

Vegas69 11-20-2009 05:35 PM

That car is sick. It really get my juices flowing since I like the race aspect more than the show. I was talking to him right before he was going to practice. He said, the wife won't give me the money to fix it if I wreck it so I better take it easy. I want to see what that car will do with Paul Tracy behind the wheel. :D

There are companies all over the US setting up track days for you to practice. I'd love to meet you and check out that car some time in person. Its by far my favorite build in a long time. I've spun nearly every time I go out. Likely due to manual steering and a heavy rear brake bias

Spend some time at local High performance driving events with some instruction. Its a great place to push your own limits in a safe environment. I run with speedventures mostly.

What part of the country are you in Scott? Love the car.

I went to 6 track avents this year. I have that same fear Cole Trickle did just a little afriad to push it harder.I have talked to a driving instrustor and asked for help next year. He says we we work on my fears of crashing the car.Jeff says there is nothing wrong w/ just being a crew cheif. I really like watching my son wheel the car too.If he dose not finish his car then he will most likely drive my car some this next year. Heartland will track day twice a month this next year. He should get some seat time.Nobody is going to pay to drive but they might pay to build.:rofl:P.S I am in Kansas S.W. of K.C 30 miles. I am thinking of throwing bar-b-q wed night before the flatlands for every body. Were about 3 to 4 hour south of hastings and a real nice motel in baldwin.I have lots of room for cars and trailers at my house.I am going to drive up thurs. morning. We could all caravan togather. We could even go coon hunting to.Scott

The old saying goes....hand the keys over to someone that doesn't own the car and see just how fast it really is. I'd have a hard time passing the torch on a regular basis, but it sure would be fun to see the potential.

paint takes a beating with R-Comps and track debris. You and Todd have clear bra in all the right places I hope?

Thats the thing about paint, I just can't commit to it knowing the acts I'm committing. I honestly wouldn't enjoy either of my cars nearly as much with perfect paint, maybe its just me. I'd obsess about it.

Vegas69 11-21-2009 07:19 AM

I clear bra'd mine from the body crease down behind both tires. The paint isn't perfect anymore and that's fine. I'll beat her up for a few years and out comes the sand paper and clear coat. I'd rather use the car then have it looking perfect in the garage. I'll see you on the track next year.

I really enjoy driving the crap out of the car. I try to hit every track dat HPT has open but I have a comfort vone that I stay within. My friend Jeff that works for Rick Hendrick said it best. Rick dose not drive any more. But that dose not mean his cars are any less. And when I go to the track days I have one thing most guys dont have. I built every part and tightened every bolt. Most of the guys just went out and bought their cars from a dealer ship.I took a peace of crap that nobody wanted and brought it back to life. The build is the really great thing for me.

Well said Scott. There is nothing cooler than building it yourself. Maybe you have a hard time running it to it's limits because you know how much work it was. I wouldn't want to wad that thing up. Although it was a heck of a good time driving that beast. What is this flatlands you are talking about and when? Maybe I can at least drive my car by then.
Ryan

Yep.. that clear bra stuff rocks (no pun intended).. all these events and hardly a chip anywhere.

I like hearing people say "you don't drive it though... right?" lol
