And I bet you wouldn't even charge Greg as much for your autograph as Johnny Manziel would for his.

Rod P 08-14-2013 08:49 PM

I have the new Triangulated 4 link on the Camaro now from Ridetech, its a great system bolts together quickly and was easier to install than the front suspension, and I have done a little track testing, in getting ready for the end of season goodguys events

Edelbrock Carb trick

heres a simple trick to help your edelbrock Carb keep from stumbling around turns on the autocross or even if you use an eddy offroading, not everyone has this problem, I had it one time on an eddy a few years back and I blocked the channel and never had the problem again and now this is one of the tricks I do to every eddy I work on for friends, I have been asked many times about the little things I do to my car to race, so I thought I would leak a simple trick

pop the top on your carb and in the back is a balance channel
http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/x...ps0a28b544.jpg

its simple you just need piece of 3/16 fuel hose
http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/x...ps39aea779.jpg

cut it to the length that sits in the channel
http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/x...psc6e78a39.jpg

press it in the channel
http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/x...ps2d969c0d.jpg

simple fix right
http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/x...psc4cb12a9.jpg

and now the fuel stays in the bowls better and doesn't slosh around and there still a small opening if one bowl over flows and needs balance
http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/x...psd9b136de.jpg

:popcorn2: its in...its a great balance of Ridetech, Hotchkis and some of my own suspension tweaks.....I have some heavy testing done and the car is very tuned..I have a few more changes and I hope the car will give the Hot shoes out there fits...... I am no longer at Gotellis, they let me go 2 weeks ago, I was told they cant afford to pay me anymore, now its just Ted and his son....all that work stuff was getting in the way of racing anyways!:lostmarbles:

Rod P 09-26-2013 09:24 PM

Installed a new carbon fiber anvil cowl panel, these Anvil panels are very nice looking I almost hate to cover up the Carbon

first I sanded the panel with 1200 paper, and then masked the panel off
http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/x...pse782a642.jpg

mixed up some white and clear and shot the panel
http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/x...psf386252d.jpg

unmasked the panel
http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/x...psc0fd6d00.jpg

and did the quick install
http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/x...ps3ad9a37e.jpg

Vince@Meanstreets 09-26-2013 11:29 PM

So you left no CF showing at all? You sneaky man you.

Rod P 09-27-2013 03:24 PM

the header panel is carbon fiber also and I painted over that also, looks like stock sheet metal

Rod P 10-14-2013 01:36 PM

end of season Racing is coming and I have been getting the car ready, with some cool parts, and a new set of tires came in! Falkens 615ks 275-40-17s all four corners! just makes me feel the car will be hooked up

http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/x...ps290ff78c.jpg

Rod P 10-14-2013 06:33 PM

finished installing the anvil header panel i did have to ream the side mounting holes along with the grill mount holes

http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/x...ps03a11e75.jpg

I used a unibit! and the girlfriends pink cordless

http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/x...psb71f53b6.jpg
http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/x...ps44a057ed.jpg

and I left a carbon line on the backside of the header panel

not yet, I have a few more practice days and then at the start of November, NEW SHOES! ready for the last 3 events:G-Dub:

sixnina 10-19-2013 06:45 AM

You changed up sizes? When I saw her last you were running the 245/40r17 all around right?? Did your suspension changes allow you more room for rubber?

Shane

I had 245 on the front and did some short testing on some prototype parts to run larger rims, and then I switched to the ridetech tru-turn kit up front when a few friends of mine David, Mary, and Crosby all said I really must run the kit, so I installed the kit and did alot of testing(i know Ridetech tested it) but I don't have a mini tub car so the balance for my 275/40/17 on all four corners is slightly different then ridetechs 48 hour Camaro, so I ended up with 800lbs springs on the front 225lbs springs rear, and my rear sway bar rate is.........wait I cant give away all my secrets :guns:

Matt@BOS 10-19-2013 12:51 PM

Nice tires! Will you be taking them to Scottsdale and Del Mar in November? It's been a while since you've made it down this way.

yep Matt! I will be in Scottsdale and visiting you guys in socal for Del Mar, I wanted to come out and cheer you on at Optima, but I will be racing Pleastanton that same weekend you guys will be at Optima, so I was bummed about the conflicting weekend events:thumbsup:

No worries. Have fun in Pleasanton and scuff those Falkens in so you're ready for Scottsdale. If I'm not too burnt out I'm going to try and make that show. I've never been good at the ol Good Guys Peanut, but there will be a lot of familiar faces out there for me to cheer on in the shoot out, and I would also like to run against a few of the cars coming in from the mid west.

Rod P 10-30-2013 08:58 PM

I have been using grip tape on my clutch and brake pedals for a little while and the clutch pedal tape shreds after a good track day, for daily use it can go for months without tearing, my question is what some of you guys are running on the pedals

http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/x...ps06e81ba1.jpg

GregWeld 10-30-2013 09:03 PM

Rod!!! You know they make some really good pedals right??

Okay -- just checking.

:censored: LOL I know, I was hoping that maybe there was a better grippy tape that is being used on race cars, I don't need all that fancy smacy billettitaniumalumiwaterjetted stuff, just a good grip tape and some good driving shoes

GregWeld 10-30-2013 09:27 PM

Okay ---

Well then -- hit your local SKATEBOARD shop and ask them for some Grip tape… it's not a brand - they'll have many brands and probably even colors.

Sieg 10-30-2013 11:06 PM

3M's Safetywalk comes in rubberized and mineral abrasive adhesive tapes. Like Greg said a skate shop may be a good source. Their adhesives typically work!

http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3...=6702767&rt=c3

Home centers may carry the rubberized meterial for non-slip tub/shower applications. The mineral products are sometimes sold for exterior deck step and ladder applications.
