The wheels are on the way, friggen excited! Arrival date is the 23rd(Wednesday). I might take off work Wednesday if the wheels are in and get tires put on, I have to get my license renewed anyways.
I took the exhaust off today and the car sounds plain silly, want to put it back on but 4/6 bolts broke lol. The car is dirty as hell too, gotta love black. |
I am psyched for you. A black second gen sitting on Rushforths is going to be a great looking combo. It should go without saying, but charge those camera batteries up.
|
The rear rim is ridiculously wide lol..

It's a HAPPY DAY in Texas!! :woot:
Time to hit the tire store Trey! They look great!! |
Those are going to look perfect on a black first gen Camaro.
|
Hopefully the tire shops are open tomorrow so I can get some slapped on, I was gonna drop the rear down Friday but all the shop bays were full.
|
Did you get those Rushforth's mounted up yet Trey? 2nd gens are sweet, cant wait to see yours completed.
Regards, Ryan |
They had to order the tires so I will drop the wheels off Saturday and have them back by Tuesday.
|
Any luck with tires yet?

Got the wheels on today and they are awesome. The front center caps don't clear though but they don't rub thank God. The rears BARELY clear, little bit more clearance than my finger, so glad I went with 295's instead of something bigger. Wasn't a fan of the tread at first but they really look good with the car and it also rides SOOOO much smoother. I didn't think a set of wheels/tires could make a car drive that much better. It looks so much better in person too, idk why but it just doesn't show well in the pictures.
The car needs to be dropped a little bit though, have to look for some u bolts since I already have the blocks. God this thing gets so much attention it's crazy, went to Buc-ee's and every was walking up to it. So awesome lol. http://img713.imageshack.us/img713/3415/img5142i.jpg http://img411.imageshack.us/img411/729/img5143qv.jpg http://img222.imageshack.us/img222/9485/img5144eh.jpg http://img69.imageshack.us/img69/983/img5147v.jpg http://img291.imageshack.us/img291/5971/img5162o.jpg http://img69.imageshack.us/img69/8881/img5172a.jpg http://img269.imageshack.us/img269/9407/img5174m.jpg http://img193.imageshack.us/img193/6475/img5179i.jpg http://img31.imageshack.us/img31/1571/img5180y.jpg http://img580.imageshack.us/img580/8541/img5181n.jpg |
Looks great. What size tires did you go with up front?

That was back in the '80's. Thankfully anywhere outside of USA Vintage Muscle cars are so rare most kids only ever see them on their Playstation and therefore have a loft of respect for them. Now my Porcshe is a different matter. (Those pesky Kids).. By the way real nice car...You could try lowered springs first then the blocks if you need them. I think you'll have better performance approaching it that way.. Best of luck. |
I already have the blocks so imma try those first.
Any ideas for what I should do next? If I can find some leather material I will custom make a console. |
Well you still can do a lot of stuff to it, like minitub it, lowering, and a small chin spoiler wouldn't look so bad. I like the result nice work Trey.
|
Nice car Trey! I am glad to see one finally kept this long! LOL!
I really like what you've done so far on this one. |

And never again in the back seat, just can't get my tall ass situated lol.. At least in the T/A I could throw the t-top out. :woot: Don't see myself getting rid of it any time soon BUT I have been getting that itch again. :willy: Car is so much fun and I love the attention. It's a hell of a daily driver. |
