For some reason I think it used to have a set or red hash mark stripes over the side of the fender too, but I could be wrong. Either way, it looked pretty nasty driving down the road.

I'm glad it went to a good home.

Matt

Im pretty sure i recall seeing pics of that car with the red GS stripes on the fender

I know the wheels used to be gray like on the ZR1 so thats def possible. Thanks man.. I am glad it went to me too. :)

I was pretty happy about the value I got on this, but I really got excited when I tallied up the invoices the previous owner spent just in 2008 at one shop doing most of the suspension, wiring, and roll cage/bracing work.... just a touch under $30k and probably 2/3 of that was labor! :wow:

Funny, I was calling this thing the "Grand Sport Camaro" to a couple others when I was considering it.

Man, you know what would really help that car---some 20's all the way around--full polished. Gaps look good from the pics-----PASS.

20s? Hell no. Way too small. I have Rushforth designing me some badass 30s. Yes, you read that right.

These gaps get a pass? I evidently have not showed a good pic of the 3" gap in the sweet fiberglass hood. :D

No worries---Go to Ironworks.com and click on the "Panel Gap Spray". You have to keep reapplying, like Rogain, but it works. Try the Disc Brake Spray as well if you are suffering from drum brake reality. Be careful though, i oversprayed the "Big Arm" spray on my neck and now i can barely turn my head. I am starting to look like Tito Ortiz.

If you keep pimping this gap product Doug I think Scott is gonna make you pay for some sponsorship. :D

Ok, got a couple used parts that will be installed ASAP.

I know but ever since my 20s and all the Rock and Metal concerts up close, I can't really hear much anyway. And I actually love 70 on the freeway. I did 65 miles of it today. :woot:

It's not the shoe that counts....it's how hard you can get the pedal to the metal!!!! Can't see the shoes when you cruise by in the car:D .

Well thank you much, Gaetano! I really have been loving your car as well. Been following yours and others' track-related posts as I start considering venturing down that path. I feel I gotta try it at least since, as you said, this thing has most of the goodies already there.

Flash68 10-05-2010 12:06 AM

Had a great Saturday hanging with Nick and Jason at Nick's sweet shop in Livermore. We thoroughly checked out Nick's growing arsenal of badass parts he is collecting for this Chevelle... gonna be killer when done.

Got my car on the lift and checked out the carnage I recently inflicted on the bellhousing. No one can accuse me of not driving this car. :D

Next.... this

+ this (Nick showing his welding skillz)

= Spintech Pro Streets in place of old Flowmaster 2 chambers

http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/f...8/DSCF3018.jpg

Just kidding on the JD... that was just a token of appreciation for Nick's hospitality. The least I could do.

Nick's shop has a sweet frontage road and is tucked back away from the busier main roads in Livermore, so I got some sessions up and down the street. Once Nick sends me the vids I will post them up!

Thanks again to Nick and Jason.
