Track Junky is out: would love to see him whoop some aftermarket A$$.

Jeff, your car and skills would surely put some hurt on the competition, logistics are not in your favor.

Todd, lets see how she stacks up against Rupp, Finch and Tucker.

ProdigyCustoms 10-13-2010 06:10 AM

For obvious reasons i would vote for Todd but I am not. Track Junky gets my vote.

I will explain later Todd!

chr2002ca 10-13-2010 07:36 AM

My vote's for Todd also. Give 'em hell Todd.

James OLC 10-13-2010 07:37 AM

How about Fin... nevermind

Todd gets my vote!

Frank, I am just as anxious to put this ultimate suspension set up to rest as you are. All of you that have followed my threads on the PT forum know that my ultimate goal has been to see how a stock suspension measures up and to see which set up is going to put me down. I have posted 3 track days at Buttinwillow this year trying to get Bad Penny there but unfortunately Rupp had been busy with making changes.

Everybody keeps pounding me about it being the driver, but get a bunch of skilled drivers together with different set ups and that makes it even keel in that respect. The only thing seperating us from there would be the suspension set ups.

Bottom line, I need proof of the best set up so that I know which direction to go with my car. I dont want to be spending hard earned money in the wrong direction.

Cris@JCG 10-13-2010 07:45 AM

Todd just got selected on Pro-Touring.com for the their entry in OUSCI ...

Track Junky should go!!!

Vegas69 10-13-2010 08:16 AM

Cris is correct. I'll be representing Larry and Pro-Touring.com. Larry contacted me yesterday morning about representing him and I couldn't say yes fast enough. I spoke with Scott last night on the phone and explained the circumstances. I really appreciate all the nominations from you guys.

This spot is available guys. Who wants it?

Bryce 10-13-2010 08:22 AM

I would like to see track junky as well. Let me know what I can do to make this happen! Also I will be going to SEMA so if you need a hand I am there!

mfain 10-13-2010 08:34 AM

You can mark me up for $300.00 to help defray Track Junky's expenses. I can't imagine a better shoot-out than Track Junky, Payback, and Bad Penny and the other "high end" cars on the same track under the same conditions.

Pappy

GregWeld 10-13-2010 08:47 AM

Okay -- you guys (CRIS) are pi**ing me off now! I'm in for $500 instead of my initial offer.... :woot:

Come on guys - even $50 helps out.... don't be shy.

(of course we don't know that Scott would pick him... but we can adjust as/if we need to)

Jr 10-13-2010 09:06 AM

Was Jake, of JRS, invited to the big show? If he was interested in driving all the way from back east, my vote would go to him.

CRCRFT78 10-13-2010 09:25 AM

I would just love to watch this live. Track Junky gets my vote now that Todd is in.

I forgot about him. Out of sight out of mind I guess, but yes he would be a great pick that could likely compete for the top spot. Hopefully he is already invited

Tom.A 10-13-2010 09:30 AM

Congrats Todd on the invite.....you two timing bastard on the other side:P

Track Junky 10-13-2010 09:32 AM

Wow!! Talk about car enthusiasts that want to see a knock down, drag out, battle of the muscle cars. Way to represent guys!!!

Unfortunately I am about 25k into the car this year starting the build just last May so you can see why the wife wants to cut me off. Hell, I thought I was going to be living in my car trailor for awhile.

In addition, aside from travel, food, and lodging expenses I still would need the correct tread wear tires which I am afraid would put me over the top.

I cant even begin to describe the extent you guys will go to see some hot track action and how that makes me feel.

YOU GUYS ARE BAD ASS!! :lateral:

I agree, if Jake wasn't picked he was over looked. I'd love to see how his suspension set up compares.

GregWeld 10-13-2010 09:37 AM

Okay -- I want to save my $500 and help Cris out at the same time

SO --- I'm switching my vote to:

Jackass

Cris@JCG 10-13-2010 09:48 AM

Yeah... but what if DriverzInc came in and sponsored a set of Nitto NT05s? I'm down to help out.... :lateral:

According to the rules, Charlie would need to substantially change the appearance of Jackass to get a re-entry. Since Track Junky is out, I like the idea of The Mule. It would be interesting to see how an older build compares to the new kids on the block. Whoever steps up has to really want it in my opinion. :unibrow:

Have not talked to him...
Have not asked him...
But

How about Carl C?

Scott, perhaps you might consult with an experienced judge before you render a verdict...

Then I'd have to do some quick math, travel from El Dorado Hills back and forth, plus food and lodging. I'm thinking I might be able to squeak by with $1500 off the top of my head.

skatinjay27 10-13-2010 12:29 PM

come on gaestano- thats $1300 for expenses plus a set of tires from jon! just call the wife over to the computer and show her this thread!:D im sure she'll ok the rest.

OK, looks like I have tires, a place to put the car, and a place to sleep. I just need to get the vote and the Optima guys approval.

If this happens whats the preferred way to get the funds to me?

Maybe that would motivate him to finish 50/50.

So my vote is for VanBuren so I don't have to pay for all of the gas:thumbsup:

slenning 10-13-2010 02:14 PM

Another vote for Jeff (Van B) , but Track Junky would be a great choice also.

Todd, really glad to see you got an invite. Give em hell!!!

I would love to throw my name in for consideration but while I think my Camaro is capable, my driving skills are less than. I did take the three day driving school at Spring Mountain last year so I am familiar with the track.
