Looks great Ryan. I've always liked your car a lot.
Now, she's going to be even nicer with the mini tubs, nice fat tires/wheels under the rear of the car, not to mention the g-link.
Very cool indeed.

monza 12-03-2010 08:50 PM

Great updates man. I've always loved those wheels, and they will really change the look of your ride. They look awesome in the mock-up pic, can't wait to see more.:D

Yeah I stared at pics of all the Fikse 12" wheels I could find and asked for specs to get the right backspacing. I think they are going to look pretty sick when done.

tones2SS 12-06-2010 04:13 PM

Any more picture updates Ryan?
Awesome car brother.

Sales@Dutchboys 12-06-2010 07:36 PM

Tubs are in, welded, seam sealed and painted. As well as the G-link brackets. Just waiting on the Moser rear from Frank.

Not sure, I'll have to ask the shop doing the work. I'm sure it's just a general splatter paint you could pickup at any parts store. I wanted an OEM look for the trunk.

tones2SS 01-05-2011 04:27 PM

Any updates Ryan?:unibrow:

Rybar 01-05-2011 04:39 PM

Hey Tones, the rear-end got delayed in shipping. It should be arriving today. I'll post updates as soon as I have them.

meenaggie 01-05-2011 05:02 PM

Did you have any issues with clearances between the G-bar forward cradle tabs and your Global West subframe connectors? The reason I ask is I just installed my AirBar cradle (similar to G-bar) and I have the Global West subframe connectors in a box waiting to be installed. I did not even think about this being an issue until I saw your pics of the install.

redfire69 01-06-2011 05:06 AM

Hey Ryan, looks good. You might want to check that spatter spray, some are not waterproof and require a clear coat...

As far as I know it's ok. The shop doing the work never mentioned any issues but I could ask.

Well here it is, everything is back together. Had a few minor hiccups. Moser Rear end got delayed in shipping, Baer brakes e-brake cable caused some problems and the exhaust was a bit of work to fit but they got it to work with my stock width Ricks tank (unmodified) and kept my tailpipes exiting like I wanted. Also they figured how to re-use my rear sway bar. Should have the car back next week.

Back end needs to settle and then we'll lower the ride height to get a better stance. And the Fikse center caps on the front don't fit. Need to get some raised ones to clear my spindle/rotor dust covers.

Also wanted to mention the shop that did the work. Radical Rides in Surrey, BC, Canada. Owner Bill gave me some great service, great price and really great customer service. And did the work in a very timely fashion. Had the rear end not been delayed I would have had the car done a few weeks ago. I'm definately going to recommend them and take my car back for some future mods. http://www.radicalrides.ca/main/

Bill also figured my rattling noise problem, the tranny shifter was tapping the trans tunnel shifter hole. It was clearanced a bit and shop owner Bill says it's gone. Real happy about that!

I'll get some better pics up when I have it back.

I haven't driven the car, it's at the shop until next week finishing some odds and ends. Bill told me it does drive alot nicer than with the leafs.

Ryan - Looking good!

Thanks for some insight on rear end set ups. I'm in a similar situation and your input makes good sense. Looking forward to the performance report.

slenning 01-20-2011 02:11 PM

Wow Ryan. That looks fantastic. I loved it before but I loves it even more now:lol:

Zedzag 01-20-2011 08:25 PM

Boy she's got a nice fat ass LOL. Can't wait to see it in person. Those patented 2nd gear burnouts may be hard to do now with all that grip. You may need more power LOL. Cough stroker cough.

Payton King 01-21-2011 05:05 AM

They did move pretty quick on your car

really looks nice! like the updated wheels and the wide rubber

Nick 01-21-2011 06:50 AM

'02ta 01-21-2011 07:09 AM

Awesome, the car looks fantastic. Glad the tranny problem was a simple fix and nothing internal.

Regards,
Ryan

Camaro Performers repeat?
