That lincoln is sexy!
You guys didn't happen to ship a '57 chassis to Kansas recently? I havent talked to Bright Built in a couple weeks due to being busy at work and dealing with all the crappy weather but was hoping it made its way to their shop. |
You guys do some amazing work, definitely inspiring to see.
|
Thanks everyone.
The chassis is shipping this week. It is all crated and ready to go. Just waiting on the funds to clear and then it is on it's way to you. No snow jumps planned just yet! We have plenty of snow, just need a 1984 station wagon.:unibrow: |

Maybe well you are waiting for the funds to clear you can post some pics of that bad a$$ 67 Chevelle. :D |

Here are a few shots of the car in various stages of the build.
Here are the original renderings by Eric Brockmeyer http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...velle1copy.jpg http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...e-rearcopy.jpg The car as it rolled in. A really, really solid, unmolested, original Texas car. There was no rust anywhere and the car retains all of the original panels. http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...Picture006.jpg Primed and prepped for paint. The body is mostly stock and I never took any good pictures of the metal work. The drip rails were shaved, filled the emblems and trim holes, and fabbed new tail light housings that are now a part of the body rather than the original bolt on piece. The majority of the work was done to the bumpers. http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...icture9778.jpg Fresh out of the booth. Sprayed in BMW Laguna Seca Blue http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...cture12534.jpg |
Floors sanded and ready for paint and lining.
http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...Picture155.jpg Floors after paint http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...Picture124.jpg http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...Picture147.jpg Chassis being sprayed http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...icture9718.jpg |
Thank you, that helped my fix a little bit, but we really need to see those bumpers. :_paranoid
|
Bumpers and various parts primed and ready to shoot.
http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...icture9780.jpg Painted bumpers. Matte charcoal on the diffuser section of the bumper. http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...cture12536.jpg We removed the license plate recess on the front bumper and reshaped the openings to give it a better look. http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...cture12541.jpg |
There ya go Garick. That is about all I have on the car for now. We still have to sand and buff the body and a few other components, then will begin assembly. We have a few other customer cars going so it might be a while before the next batch of updates.
|
Nice!! Thank you very much for posting the pics. Your work is amazing.

The diffuser panel looks awesome. Can't wait to see it on the car.
|
Looks great!
|
That thing looks sick. Diffuser should be bad ass!
|
I love the work on the defuser and front bumper. The floors look great.
|
Looks killer.
That rear bumper/diffuser looks great! Keep us posted on that bad boy. |
That......is one serious shade of blue!
|
I love Laguna Seca Blue. I was considering it for my Firebird, but still not 100% sure. Porsche has a similar but lighter blue that is also nice. Phoenix Yellow is a cool color too from the E46 M3 days.

Time for another update. We have been making a lot of headway on the 57 convertible. The body has been wet sanded and buffed, chassis mostly assembled, and engine/trans assembled. Still waiting on a few parts from the chromer and powder coater to finish the chassis, but it has been moving along nicely.
http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...cture15204.jpg Some good close ups of the finish on the car! http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...cture15165.jpg http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...cture15154.jpg Parts moved to the final assembly room to begin the assembly of the car. http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...cture15450.jpg |
We received most of the chrome and polished stainless parts back and they look great!
Custom 3" S/S Exhaust http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...cture15211.jpg Front and rear suspension parts chromed. These things look incredible. http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...cture15404.jpg http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...cture15407.jpg |
Santa's Toy Factory has nothing on yours! Thanks for the pics.
|
And here are some assembly pics on the chassis that just started going together yesterday. Engine is a 550 HP LS3 from Turn Key Engines with a TKO-600 behind it.
http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...cture15500.jpg http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...cture15416.jpg http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...cture15586.jpg http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...cture15598.jpg http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...cture15630.jpg http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...cture15622.jpg |
And here is another tri-5 that we have been making a lot of progress on. A 55 Nomad that needed a little more attention than we originally thought. It was media blasted and then discovered that a lot of new metal was needed! So after doors, quarters, rockers, complete floors, wheel houses, tailgate, and a few other things, this is how it sits. We are just finishing mocking up all of the trim before it will move into the body and paint stages.
http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...cture15171.jpg http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...cture15184.jpg http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...cture15181.jpg http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...cture15178.jpg |

A few other things we have going on.
Getting our beater C10 ready for paint. I found these pics while organizing files that were pretty cool. A little bit of a change in altitude from the original frame. Take a look at the tube fence behind the truck in relation to the hood. Before http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...Picture017.jpg After http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...cture12079.jpg We got the chassis back from powder coating and have that assembled. http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...cture16352.jpg http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...cture16351.jpg http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...cture16416.jpg Ports in the crossmember for easy brake line and fuel line routing http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...cture16385.jpg http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...cture16390.jpg |
The car looks awesome.
|
That C10 is looking great! Awesome work guys.
|
Hey, guy's your project's are looking amazing. Scott
|
Great Stuff
WOW..
 BEAUTIFUL WORK.. REAR SWAY BAR THROUGH THE FRAME IS A NICE TOUCH Tom |
We definitely need more pics of that C-10. I should have bought a long bed and cut it down like you did. Good Job.
|
Thanks guys. I'll get a few more pics up a little later on on that C10 and a few other projects.
DJW - The long bed was definitely the way to go. We picked up the truck for around $1,200 running/driving and 100% solid rust and free out of AZ. (A comparable short bed is $10,000 - $15,000) We are a dealer for the new short bed assemblies that retail for around $3,500. Our chassis is the last piece in the puzzle to easily convert a long bed into a pro-touring short bed. |
Awesome job guys!!!!
