We also got our Forgeline wheels 20x12 and 19x10, brushed nickel outer and titanium center, rolled it outside to get an overall view of car and map out front spoiler fabrication

This shows how quarters were dropped down to transition into dropped rockers smoothly......

We will be extending the doors downwards 2" to be in better proportion to rocker as well.

Dave, we set the ground clearance at 4.5" to the rocker. That is the lowest point of car.

youthpastor 05-30-2011 08:36 PM

you nailed it Steve! the stance 20's and 19's look great. Nice to see it on the ground. Are those 30 series on the back?

EBMC 05-31-2011 07:37 AM

Thanks Chris. Tire sizes are 335 30 20 and 285 35 19 Michelin ps2

Ricochet 05-31-2011 08:35 AM

Wheel tire combo/Stance nailed! Nice metal treatment with the rockers and rear tail panel!

Can we get a couple more pictures of the radiator support area?! Looks like you are are supporting the fenders with a couple bent tubes. Is that permanent or are you going to come up with a custom Rad support?

EBMC 06-01-2011 08:58 PM

Thanks everyone!

This is permanent there will be no traditional rad support as the engine compartment is getting full custom formed sheetmetal covering suspension and radiator support area. These fender attachment points will be hidden under that, they will also be mounts for the HID ballasts.

killer67 06-01-2011 09:22 PM

What? That is amazing sheetmetal work!

Some of you who have been to the shop have heard the story about it and seen the car, for those who have not, it started when we got a call about a Camaro that was started at another "shop". It had been there for 5 years and progress was not happening fast enough

Was this other "shop" in Livermore? I was in there about a year ago and saw a similar 69 on a AME Max g chassis.

EBMC 06-02-2011 06:46 AM

No, it did not come from Livermore.

torino420 06-02-2011 08:40 AM

Very nice! I love the flow of it! Great work on that center piece, I know that wasn't easy to make!

Lemons 06-02-2011 12:35 PM

Great work. That is one good looking Camaro. Can't wait to see more.

Chris

tones2SS 06-02-2011 05:18 PM

Great, great work. Every update gets better and better.

Richio1 06-02-2011 07:27 PM

Fantastic! Can't wait to see continued progress. Kudos to the owner for having the fortitude to push on and the bank account to continue chasing the dream after all the BS with the other crook.

Keep up the good work!

Nick.V70 06-04-2011 03:42 PM

Damn this is looking really nice. Great work.

EBMC 06-04-2011 10:21 PM

Thanks alot everyone!
And Yes Robbie, as you know, that center was rather challenging and time consuming!

Although we changed direction and it wont be used on this car, we didnt think it fit the high tech theme of the car and therefore completely redesigned the engine compartment!

rwhite692 06-09-2011 05:03 PM

I have to come by and see this thing. Steve, I had missed this thread somehow, looks great, like the rear spoiler.

plastic mockup motor sold as the real thing, aluminum paint, tape over the ports, wow, some people will stop at nothing....Glad the owner found you, he's in good hands. -Rob

GregWeld 06-09-2011 09:29 PM

Lovely! Really --- the flow and the look is fresh and just well executed. Nice job!

That oval piece hanging behind the differential housing...

I've seen it in other differentials like the one in GregWeld's Ford or in the Track Nose Speedster built by the Roadster Shop...

EBMC 06-12-2011 02:43 PM

Oh that tail, I think your referring to the gear housing for the quick change rearend. :)
