Looks awesome, I have a 67 convertible and wish I could have a chassis like that.
|
Nice build, I love the '66. What tranny are you guys plugging behind the BBC?
|
I'm also liking the Camaro in the background with the Nelson bullet sitting between the framerails

Update
Here are some shots of the car with all the metal work done and shop rims and tires on it so I can see the stance.

Wow, that thing is looking sweet.
Another great looking build come out of the Roadster Shop. Keep us posted. |
As always looks great!!
|
Looking good!
|
Looks killer! Stance is right!
|
Metal-lok and clear it!!
|
Wicked!
|
Awesome:thumbsup:
|
I love a 66
and that car sits right. Shop rims? I would leave them on.
|
Thats a WOOW!!!!
|
Thanks everyone.
The stance on this car is spot on. The 66/67's just look killer when they are sitting right. This car is 100% stock body and will retain stock trim, but the aggressive stance totally makes the car. We are going to be fabbing headers and then exhaust in the next week and then over to the body shop side. |
That thing does look awesome. I like the shop rims as well, maybe less BS on those fronts but the stance is nailed.

Wheels
If you have looked at this post you would have seen the original renderings with two different style rims. I have been talking with Boyds and have come up with a one off version of the Harm rims without the spikes. But still not sure about how the over all look of the car will be. They sent me a cad design image and I have included for you to see and a changed rendering. I have been talking to Phil from the Roadstershop and he has suggested a full rim vice a spoke one. Looked at Billet Specialties Outlaw-G and Bonneville-G. Had baby moons and beauty rings on the original one I had in Highschool and have been looking at a few of those styles too. Wondering what you guys think?

Cad
I can't seem to get the cad to post it is in Adobe but you get the idea from the rendering.

The forgeline give you more of a European sport car approach. The old school look of the Billet Bonneville wheels lend themselves to more of a hotrod appeal. It just depends on what's your preference. One thing is for sure, the car is going to be awesome with RS at the build. |
Large Dia Headers

Real nice!!!!!

Damn cool Chevelle. I like the steering shaft down to the gearbox :D

Wow!! Awesome.

You sure you can get any traction with those skinny little back tires?;)
Just kidding you there! Awesome build. As for the wheels, I like the look the Forgeline, HRE, Rushforth....typical of what a lot of the current cars are running. Split spoke or similar. Although any of the choices you posted will look great on the car. |
That sub just looks so sick! Love it. Going to be another awesome RS car!
|
Looks like it is going to be another awsome 66 Chevelle. What are your plans for the car when it's done? Just an awsome street car or are you going to track it? Great job RS as always.
